Hillary Clinton once had such a contest. First Prize was a day with Hillary on her campaign bus. Second Prize was two days.

John McCain is the best Democrat that ever ran as a Republican.

Do I get a mug now?

Sen. John McCain's campaign is urging supporters to spam blogs and forums with official talking points, according to the Washington Post. If you do a good job, you can even win prizes.

The difference is Obama has full time staffers who do the same.

Odd that this is being reported now. Didn’t this program start 2 months ago?

This is such BS. It’s not SPAM. He is asking people to post relavent posts that they agree with.

He is then rewarding people for being active.

Further despite the post from the liberal blog that is the theme of this thread, not even The Washington Post refers to the requested posts as spam. The article is flawed, opinion and not news.

Why not? The music industry has been paying bloggers to hype certian acts for years.

Wait, is this web site on the list? How many more times do I have to do this before I win something?

Equal time...

Punk the prez? - Moby's anti-Bush tricks (Beware of the Moby Dicks) (New York Daily News 2/09/04 Rush & Molloy)

One of Sen. John Kerry's celebrity supporters is ready to pull out all the stops to get him elected. Republicans are shrieking over a suggestion by rocker Moby that Democrats spread gossip about President Bush on the Internet. "No one's talking about how to keep the other side home on Election Day," Moby tells us. "It's a lot easier than you think and it doesn't cost that much. This election can be won by 200,000 votes."

Moby suggests that it's possible to seed doubt among Bush's far-right supporters on the Web.

"You target his natural constituencies," says the Grammy-nominated techno-wizard. "For example, you can go on all the pro-life chat rooms and say you're an outraged right-wing voter and that you know that George Bush drove an ex-girlfriend to an abortion clinic and paid for her to get an abortion.

"Then you go to an anti-immigration Web site chat room and ask, 'What's all this about George Bush proposing amnesty for illegal aliens?'"

Moby didn't claim that he believed the abortion story...

Stupid move, if true.

Obama is doing the same thing. They have CNN basically covering his campaign non stop.

CNN Breaking News:

“Barack Obama has apparently ordered a large Diet Coke today for lunch, instead of his usual medium. Sources indicate that Obama needed the extra hydration after visiting an extraordinary 8 orphanages this morning instead of the usual 4 that he visits on a daily basis”

I just got my picture of John and his wife Cindy. He should have a team of people dedicated to pushing high traffic sites like this and running insurgent efforts into Democrat sites stirring up stuff. Candidates should google themselves regularly if you aren’t making news then you aren’t doing your job in the campaign.
