Just heard off the wire that Farve has been traded by GB to the Jets.
Thank goodness the Bucs didn’t get him.
Unnghh.
Woo Hoo ... was hoping for Tampa Bay, my old home town.
What’s the range of opinions about him fitting in there ?
Lame
Now that’s interesting. I’m thinking he thought he’d be staying in Green Bay, when he made the decision to return to the league. That’s OK, he still has his home in MS; in my hometown, no less!
Maybe appropriate breaking news for the ESPN forum, but for FR?
This whole thing is a sad commentary on the current state of affairs. I don’t blame Farve for wanting to play. I do blame him for “retiring” and then changing his mind. Its a little primadonna in my opinion.
Its also too bad that the day of the “team player” is gone. His star is fading. From a competitive perspective i think the Packer’s front office made the right choice.
Bucs...weak front offensive line like last year’s line...would mean Favre would get banged up badly...Wouldn’t want to see that happen to a future Hall of Famer..Hope the Jets front line is up to the task...
Right or wrong, somebody might have put on their big boy pants a little too soon.
OH BOY he going get nailed this season he need stay retired
Ask this guy about the Jets' line in his last years.
I guess my Dolphins(37 years a fan) will be in trouble this year.......................... LMAO
I’ve been a lurker for years. I know you’re the person here who is real good with posting screen captures, especially for live threads, for example. You and another poster - something like GRRRRRR (not sure how many R’s...).
Unitas to Chargers
Namath to Rams
It’s sad, like Joe Montana going to the Chiefs. A great quarterback like Farve should retire with dignity. Staubach, Starr, Bradshaw, went on to very successful post football careers, full of honors.
Not F-A-R-V-E.
Now we can get back to important stuff like John Edwards' love child.....
