I congratulate the author of this article. In the first sentence the names and ages of the two victims were mentioned, the innocent and terribly wronged individuals in all of this. A previous CNN post took twelve paragraphs before mentioning who the “two girls” were and their ages. We knew Mr. Medellin’s middle name before the CNN article mentioned the names of his victims. So somewhere there is a journalist who “gets it.”
I specifically searched for and selected an article that did not spin the execution.
I don’t agree totally. The term “killed” irritated me when I read the line. To me the word “kill” is a negative when used in this context . Execute. Now that is a word I can live with very easily.
