That is correct. IIRC he was too young to be prosecuted as an adult. 40 yrs. was the longest possible sentence as a juvenile so he got the max.

CNN keeps repeating that lie. Neither the defendants nor their lawyers were prohibited from contacting the Mexican consolate. They never requested any contact with the Mexican consolate. They only made an issue of this in the automatic death penalty appeal. How are the police even supposed to know that a prisoner is a foreign national if that person does not volunteer that information? There are lots of US citizens in Texas who speak Spanish better than English, and there are some localities that prohibit the police from calling ICE to determine the immigration of prisoners in custody. If they aren't allowed to find out that information, how the hell are they supposed to know that a prisoner is a foreign national?
Love your tagline, but “gang of one?” Hardly. There are a lot of us who won’t be bullied into voting for any liberals or marxists. And the fact that they are the two greatest evils isn’t the big selling factor the McCainiacs make it out to be. “Vote for McCain, the lesser of two evils” is a lousy campaign slogan. Especially when there are other choices available that don’t require throwing our morals out the window.
Not voting for McCain, is not voting for McCain.
Not voting for Obama is not voting for Obama.
I could just as easily state that my non vote for Obama, is a vote for McCain, but it wouldn’t really mean anything.

Exactly. And Medellin was only 3 when he came from Mexico -- something I didn't know until I heard it in the local Dallas media the other day.

It’s possible that Medellin never knew that he was born in the United States until recently. One member of my extended family was brought by her parents from Mexico when she was 6 months old and didn’t know that she wasn’t an American citizen late teens.
I don’t agree totally. The term “killed” irritated me when I read the line. To me the word “kill” is a negative when used in this context . Execute. Now that is a word I can live with very easily.

Exactly. I have been wondering the same thing. Liberals say you can't ask the nationality of the perp, yet you still have to contact the consulate? This guy had been in the US since age 3, spoke good English and never mentioned that he was an illegal. Typical MSM crap.
