Gwyneth Paltrow has urged fellow Americans living abroad to vote for Barack Obama in a new advertisement.
(see link for video)
The American actress, who lives in London with her husband, Chris Martin, the singer in the rock group Coldplay, leads a video encouraging ex-pats to register to vote from overseas in the presidential election in November.
Speaking alongside several other Americans living abroad, Miss Paltrow says: "Start now - right now. I'll be voting from London, but you can vote from anywhere. If you live abroad, you've got to do it. Every single vote will count."
She asks American ex-pats: "Where on earth will you vote?" The video concludes: "Vote Democrat. Vote Obama. Vote From Abroad."
The video, which will be distributed on the internet, was produced by Democrats Abroad, a division of the party devoted to persuading the millions of Americans living outside the country and eligible to vote to keep participating in domestic politics.

We can remind everyone what she has said about the US and 9/11.
Get her a tan, and she could fit in at Trinity United Church of Christ.
Figures. Of course "Americans abroad" does not include troops deployed overseas. Their vote doesn't count...
Sorry Charlie.
Obama supporter Gwyneth Paltrow
“I find the English amazing how they got over 7/7. There were no multiple memorials with people sobbing as they would have been in America. There, they are constantly scaring people but at the same time, people think nothing of going to see a therapist.”
Obama supporter Paltrow on living in Britain
She says, “I don’t fit into the bad side of American psychology. “The British are much more intelligent and civilised than the Americans. I love the English lifestyle. I’m not as capitalistic as America.”
No, they only have multiple memorials and sob in England on the death of anorexic ex-princesses who jet set around in limos.
(Not directed, of course, against English who have some guts left)
Another mental midget heard from who should be ashamed to even enter this country. Notice that Paltrow’s ad wasn’t meant for US (domestic) voters. (That’s to keep her career from tanking.) There are a few of us who refuse to see her films.
Here’s the northeast, winter mere months away, and the TV news this am says we’ll be paying $3000 for oil/gas heat. Wood and wood pellets are becoming more and more expensive, and the elderly and those on fixed incomes truly have to choose between heat and eating, never mind gas for a car. Meanwhile, Paltrow and others like her without a financial worry in the world pimp for dems who never saw an oil rig/refinery that they didn’t hate. (Never mind what Obama said in Florida over the weekend about maybe allowing limited drilling. He’s ‘evolving’ and didn’t really mean it.)
It’s Obama’s birthday and he’ll be in Boston for a fundraiser. CBS news was thrilled.
Have to agree. The mawkish sentiment and frantic conspiracy-theorising here over what was basically a drunk-drive accident was - and remains - disgusting to me.
I can forgive and understand the collective grief - society has its heroes - but the blame-finding in the papers ("who killed Diana?") is grotesque and reprehensible.
I just found it creepy. There was something completely out of whack in the scope of it all.
Did anyone expect different from her?
All sorts of the Hollywood/Music types are going to be coming out with ads, music, Heck they are even planning a “we are the World” type corny schlock album, and having and ObamaPalooza AID concert. With all the usual suspects and crowds to turn whatever site they host it at inti a pigsty of trash, broken bongs, lost coke spoons, and used needles.
She is singing the white version of “We are a mean country”. Typical elitist snob. Then, like Madonna and Johnny Depp and others, when it comes time to make money, these losers come right back to the “mean nation”.
doesn’t she live in england? what the hell is she involving herself here then
tell her to, “go play with your apple”
.....What a twit. Next time a family member or friend dies and she goes to their funeral perhaps someone can hold a sign up with this statement. I mean, what a jacka$$.
Gee, I guess democrats abroad can get their votes counted easily. Maybe the men and women in the Armed Services would do better having their votes counted if they were registered as democrats....even if they don’t vote that way.
