The mayor who can’t even distinguish his wife from the wife of a staff member wants the people to sort their trash. Is something wrong with this picture?

Maybe he can start by delousing the bums on the street.

Oh' wait they don't have garbage, they just leave it the street.

I'd use more a colorful double entendre for San Francisco, but yes - they suck.

The outcome of this effort is predictable - people will take their garbage to the local apartment dumpster, or alternately, throw it out along a country road. There's only so much abuse that the public will take from the government.

This follows an attempt to have block commissars rat out (for a fine) residents who don’t keep their trash bins out of sight. (Mostly because the bins are larger than the narrow walkways alongside most SF homes.)

Down here, we just let all the homeless pick out all the recyclables out of our trashbins. With all the homeless zombies walking amuck in Frisco, this shouldn’t be much of an issue.

But seriously, Frisco sucks.
Big Brother totalitarians suck.

No offense, Mr. Robinson, but for the life of me, I can't imagine why anyone stays in CA if they don't have to.

Thank goodness my daughter (pesto) and her husband are getting out. I hated having to go out there to visit with her and her family---I was afraid that somehow the sales taxes I paid while out there would end up in Pelosi's pocket. LOL!

No doubt, the last effective politician we had in San Fransicko was Dan White.

Of course they’ll have to hire a bunch of City Garbage Inspectors at union rates to comb through the trash. They’ll probably also post a bounty payable to anybody who denounces his neighbor for not separating the paper and plastic, so the garbage inspectors know whom to target. Should be quite a lucrative racket all around.

Why stop there? Why not come into my home and fine me if I use cloth napkins instead of paper ones, or make sure I am using eco-friendly detergent, etc.

Think of the revenue just sitting there waiting to fill the city coffers!

Why any American would live in the festering rathole is beyond my ability to comprehend.
Since they do and they vote these morons into office they get what they ask for......

Liberals suck

And they're d*mn stupid, too. Down in Vista, near San Diego we used to have 3 different recycle bins (for paper, plastic and glass). We provided our own regular trash cans. One day, I had too many empty plastic containers for the plastic recycle bin, so I threw about 3 empty gallon milk containers into the regular trash can. The trashman left me a pre-printed note that said, "We could not serve you properly today, because your recyclable trash was not property sorted. Please remember to sort all recyclables into their proper containers so we may serve you properly."

But wait ... there's an unbelievable chapter 2 to this saga: About 4 years ago, they changed trash containers on us. Now, we are to throw ALL recyclables, mixed together, into a giant recycle bin. And they now provide us with a regular trash barrel. We cannot use our own trash containers at all. The effect of this is that we are limited to ONE of their piddly-a$$ trash containers per week.

So, who sorts the recyclables? I tried to get a straight answer from Edco Waste, but all I got was the run around.

Thanks for listening.
