The Left never stops.

An absolute truth that a lot of people don't realize. Gun control and a belief in unrestricted government power in general is a religion to garbage like Fenty and Lanier (as well as a lot of other mayors and bureaucrats). They believe in it with a fervor that exceeds al qaeda's belief in destroying the infidel. They are not disuaded by logic or reason. The constitution means nothing to them. They are not moved by concern for the citizens' welfare. They have no mercy for those who would protect their families from criminals. They never stop (as you say). There are only three possible outcomes with people like this.

1. They win. We surrender to unconstitutional laws and lose all freedom, and become slaves of a tyrannical police state we're a good way along that path already
2. We resist and their beloved police kill all of those who resist and they win
3. We resist and kill enough of them and their goons so that freedom is restored

You'll note that none of the above alternatives is particularly desirable, but the third is the least undesirable. But filth like Fenty is forcing this crappy set of alternatives on us.

Amen. When they have all the guns and we have none, there'll be checkpoints set-up and they'll be looking for a lot more than DUI. It'll be sheep shearing time and the fleecing of wallets will begin- to shore-up whatever budget shortfalls that may exist.

With all the intersections that use cameras for enforcement, I can't understand how California's budget is a mess. These things are goldmines! Are people driving better? No matter, checkpoints and searches will raise whatever funds are necessary. And if that falls short, they'll start going house to house.
