I suspect it is a cr@p game whose publishers hoped would create controversy so they could sell more than the 10 to 20 copies it would sell without feminists hating on it. You can't buy the publicity these feminists are giving this game for free.
You're possibly right about the game being crap. You're DEFINITELY right that the perpetually frowning, hair-in-a-tight-bun men-haters are providing free publicity.
