Karadzic's Military Documents Turned Over to War Crimes Court

Serbia's interior minister says officials found copies of Bosnian Serb government documents in the Belgrade apartment where former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic lived prior to his arrest last week.

Ivica Dacic said the documents included materials on Bosnian Serb military staff meetings during the conflict in Bosnia-Herzegovina in the 1990s. He said officials turned the materials over to Serbia's war crimes court.

Meanwhile, court officials say the court has not yet received Karadzic's appeal against a judicial order authorizing his extradition to the United Nations war crimes tribunal in The Hague.

Karadzic's lawyer, Svetozar Vujacic says he mailed out the appeal documents shortly before post offices closed Friday. The lawyer confirmed that he does not want the extradition to take place before a planned rally of Karadzic supporters Tuesday.

Prior to his arrest, Karadzic had lived openly, practicing alternative medicine under the name Dragan Dabic.

Officials say they tracked him down by following people thought to be helping him avoid capture.

The Hague tribunal has charged Karadzic with genocide and crimes against humanity for his efforts to ethnically-cleanse Bosnia of Muslims and Croats during the Balkan conflict of the 1990s.

With the Karadzic arrest, the Balkan war crimes tribunal's top fugitive targets now are former Bosnian Serb military chief Ratko Mladic, and ex-Croatian Serb leader Goran Hadzic. Former Bosnian Serb police commander Stojan Zupljanin was arrested last month in Serbia.

This court isn't even recognized by the United States as legitimate because the United States sees it as a political body. Do you realize that?

Also, this court is far from the court you know and understand. They admit hearsay and cross examining is only allowed at the whim of a judge. So, if someone puts you in this court and they swear they saw you kill another man what are you going to do when you are unable to talk to the “witness” and question his validity. Nothing.

They are going to pull out all the stops to legitimize the illegal taking of Kosovo from Serbia and the complete distruction of the Serbian nation that has been a thorn in the side of Anglo-Saxons for centuries.

Think about it, if Serbia “deserved” to be put under the feet of the EU because let's say 10,000 Muslims were killed, then why is Germany still a country after MILLIONS have been killed twice in history?

I just know it a sham because I see Mr. Nasir Oric free as a bird in Sarajevo after he was known to kill entire villages of Serbian women and children right on Easter Sunday to maximize the terror affect. The Nazi media just shrugged that off by saying it was revenge killing.

This is all a set up and has nothing to do with justice. This is precisely why the EU and NATO are setting up the world for another global conflict weather they know it or not. This is why the United States would never subject her own citizens to this court because it would be impossible to get a fair hearing.

....This is why the United States would never subject her own citizens to this court [ICTY and ICC] because it would be impossible to get a fair hearing....

Actually the ICTY (and the ICC) violate nearly EVERY priniciple of Anglo-American jurisprudence, which our forefathers fought for in our Revolutionary War! The “courts’” procedures were largely designed by the muslim fifth columnist Cherif Bassiouni, who prefers sharia over Anglo-Saxon law.

Tne why is the US exporting muslim fifth-columnist injustice rather than standing up for our long-proven system of justice? This is sure to turn around and bite us Americans back in the end, perhap via the establishment of Canadian-style “human rightser” “courts”.

International justice is power without responsibility

...

In democratic nation-states, the criminal justice system is embedded within the other structures of statehood, especially the legislature. Rules of procedure in British courts are rightly a matter for solemn debate in Parliament. Not so the existing international tribunals for Yugoslavia and Rwanda, which are subject to control by no parliament or electorate.

Anonymous witnesses, which the House of Lords has just ruled illegal for murder cases in Britain, are the norm at the Yugoslav tribunal, where no fewer than 40 per cent of prosecution witnesses give their evidence with their identity hidden. Such anonymous denunciation reminds one of the worst excesses of totalitarianism; it fatally undermines the right of defendants to cross-examine their accusers

A culture of secrecy pervades these tribunals so that it is quite common for hearings to be conducted wholly or partly in secret, the transcripts hidden from the public for an indefinite period of time. Hearsay evidence is admitted, so that a defendant can be convicted on the basis of second or third-hand allegations which cannot be tested in court

...

International tribunals use a theory of liability which is vague and dangerous. Defendants can be and have been convicted for war crimes they did not commit, did not order, did not know about at the time, and did not even intend. So-called "joint criminal enterprise" is a sort of conspiracy theory gone mad

Power wielded without responsibility is incompatible with democracy and the basic principles of justice, especially equity...

International tribunals are but the judicial wing of the new neo-colonialist Western policy of military interventionism in the internal affairs of other states: their power is dangerous and should be curtailed.
