Yes, Bolling would become Governor, but only if Kaine resigns (and Kaine may decide to hold onto the office until the election and hedge his bets, just in case Obama would lose). If Bolling does become Governor, it throws a monkey-wrench into the next election, since Bolling has already withdrawn any designs on the office, he might presumably prefer to remain as Governor, so Atty Gen McDonnell might have to reassess his own plans.

I went back an read the article, the lib author was horrified - he said Bill Bolling would be able to control the gerrymandering, and garauntee a republican assembly majority for the next ten years.

Hmmmm.

Those were all my thoughts, but I didn’t want to pose them as I am not as well versed in VA politics/statutes as others.

As me the same question in regard to Delaware and I wouldn’t bat an eye to answer. LOL!!!!!
