One adult was killed and eight others wounded -- six of them seriously -- when a man opened fire during a children's play Sunday morning at a Unitarian church in Knoxville, Tennessee, police and church members said.

WTF!!!?
It appears that the identity of the gunman is being protected.

Wonder why ???????????????
He’s not a minor..........
This story has been in and out of the breaking news sidebar a half dozen times today. Not sure why.
They forgot to add, “no charges have yet been filed against the Church members who subdued him”.
It appears that the identity of the gunman is being protected....something tells me this guy had a Quran in his pocket and a diaper on his head. Wonder what was inside the diaper?? The picture in the article showed both a white and a black person. So it couldn’t be a black guy in a white church. If it were a white guy in a black church, they would be holding nothing back from the media. My best guess the shooter was probably a diaper wearing Islamic fanatic.

Ah the joys of bigotry.
Earlier reports said he had long blond hair and was wearing a white t-shirt. I posted it on another thread.
I dunno. This is a universalist Unitarian church. They believe in ALL religions. I suppose if it were a diaper-head, he could have been justified because they spent more time on ANNIE plays than the Quaran? Is puzzling.
Knoxville is my home town. Have the names of the wounded been released?
Have you forgotten something at the store?
Is your chair moist?
LOL, good one
My prayers & sympathies to those injured in the attack & to the family of the dead.
I looked and have come up with no results. Sorry.
It’s a little surprising to find that a Unitarian Universalist church had anybody attending who would stand up to a gunman — maybe they talked him out of it?
While this is tragic, I still found this from the other thread a very revealing glimpse into what the UUniversalist “Church” is all about:
“Drevik says the shooting happened during a regular service, as children of the church were performing music from Annie for parishioners.”
One wouldn’t normally associate “Annie” with a Sunday worship service.
give it a rest — folks go to various churches for various reasons. You may have a good beef with their theology , from your point of view, but it’s pointless to assume that there arent’t people there who react virtuosuly to a dangerous situation. Let the facts come out.
