Gurnee park expects about 1,200 Muslims to attend Saturday On any other day, Sobia Ahmed would opt to forgo many of the snacks on offer at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee. To perform the Islamic prayers she recites five times a day, she likely would slip onto a secluded path at the amusement park or look for solace under a shady tree for a few furtive minutes. But this Saturday Ahmed and her family will eat and pray at their leisure in the park with hundreds of other Muslims from the Chicago area who plan to visit the sprawling entertainment center for a day catered especially to them.

When groups of them start to go in, I wonder if they do a behead count first.

"Six Flags also has created special events for Catholics, Baptists and Methodists, park officials said, and Episcopalians have booked the amphitheater for prayer services. Traditional Polish dancers joined in the park's opening ceremonies during a recent Polish Day, and last week the park supplied American Sign Language interpreters during a "hard-of-hearing-awareness day."

We’re supposed to get along with Muslims, but they have to have their own day at the park? Maybe they should learn that they’re in America now. Is that too radical a concept? The rest of us had to do it.
Guide for Muslim Day at Six Flags:
1) Rides - no women may ride with men. No men may ride with women. In fact, no riding period as it produces a euphoria that is only allowed when meeting Allah. Total ban. This includes tram rides to and from parking areas as open carriages may exposue riders to airflow that exposes ankles or calves under burqas.
2) Food - standard Halal restrictions are in place. Given the standard food offerings at park concession stands, this means pack a lunch, Mohammed.
3) Shows - anything involving secular music, scantily clad dancers and/or glorifying Western culture is forbidden. Stare at the fountains instead.
4) Games - games involving prizes or payouts are banned as you must wait for your reward in the afterlife. Traditional midway games such as ring toss and knock-down-bottles are banned as they tend to expose poor aim and general lack of arm strength.
5) Prayer call - will be issued over the park’s PA system. All rides, lights, music and infidels will be brought to a halt during prayer. Use the peak of the large roller coaster hill to locate Mecca. Burlap sacks used on the giant slide are NOT suitable for use as prayer mats.
6) Intelligence gathering - photos, blueprints and other data on hard targets should be obtained and compiled at the earliest opportunity.
7) Men only permitted in picnic and greenspace areas. This may tend to look like Gay Days at Disney but rules is rules.
8) A ‘spontaneous’ protest parade in full outrage mode will be conducted at 3 pm with TV crews alerted at 2 pm to allow time for camera tripod setup and satellite uplink. Possible causes to choose from include: representation of minarets/Arabian design in decorations, artwork or architecture, exposure of flesh (legs, arms) by American girls, consumption of pork sausage and/or pepperoni by infidels, proximity of men’s & women’s restrooms, presence of porcelain fixtures rather than open holes in restrooms, and possible sighting of unclean animals in wildlife areas, petting zoos and/or aquariums.

I scrolled thru the comments, and it seems like people missed this UNBELIEVABLY IRONIC first sentence, sixth paragraph:

—Interesno... was he killed by Buddhists, Hindus, Jews, Mormons, Methodists, Seikhs, Jehovah’s Witnesses or Catholics in the World Trade Center???
Several years ago I happened to take my daughter to Six Flags in Maryland on what turned out to be “Muslim Day”. This “ time to relax and connect with others” turned into an occasion for them to act out and shut down rides to protest requirements that “head gear be removed” in order to ride. Time after time security had to be called to physically remove them so that other patrons could enjoy a particular ride.
