Bin Laden happy with September 11 toll, war court told Wed Jul 23, 2008 1:58pm EDT

GUANTANAMO BAY U.S. NAVAL BASE, Cuba (Reuters) - Osama bin Laden's driver overheard the al Qaeda leader saying he was happy about the death toll in the September 11 attacks and thought the hijacked plane that crashed in Pennsylvania was shot down, according to one of the driver's interrogators.
The evidence by Ali Soufan, a former FBI agent, was meant to support the case by prosecutors at the Guantanamo Bay war crimes tribunal that the driver, Salim Hamdan, was close to al Qaeda's leadership.
Hamdan, a Yemeni father of two with a fourth-grade education, is the first Guantanamo prisoner to face trial before the controversial tribunal at the remote base on Cuba. He faces life in prison if convicted.
"Bin Laden was happy about the results and he (Hamdan) heard bin Laden say he didn't expect the operation to be that successful," said Ali Soufan, a former FBI agent. "He only thought 1,000 to 1,500 people would perish so he was happy with the results."

Osama needs to take a realistic look at the Al Queda death toll since then. It’s been pretty one-sided.

Oh, if only I was in the “need to know” group and that were true! It was exactly what I asked for and I have this amazing belief that our military can do ANYTHING. I asked for that for Christmas in 2001, and want to believe with all my heart he is sleeping with the sand fleas and in the hands of his Maker who will sort him out.

Is the scum happy that the overall plan that was to be triggered by 9/11 has been an utter failure (much like Islam itself).
Is he thrilled that the US military has mopped the floor with his cowardly, ineffective, incompetent (much like Islam itself) al qaeda “warriors”.
How is that crapping out sinewy goat meat in the back of a dank, dark cave working out? I suppose being forced to live a 3rd century existence by George Bush and the United States Armed Forces leaves even a demented, elitist scum like Bin Laden plenty of time to search out those Koran passages that justify the slaughter of innocents, and the use of women and children as shields by chickenshit jihadists. I’m confident such a passage exists; it is after all just like Islam itself.
