Seems to me that people least likely to become Arabized, Muslim or not, are people who keep their own language even if they also learn Arabic. Berbers, Kurds, Assyrians, Persians.

Bedouin get a bad name, but I find they are on the whole better people than settled Arabs. Much less religious too.

Is kus also some kind of racial slur in Persian? I assumed it meant the same thing as it does it Arabic.

The slaves transported to the Arab countries left almost none ! They were all worked to death.

Added to the fact that it was common for the male slaves to be castrated, it's a wonder there were any at all...

While I myself was "black" of North African descent, my family believed its Arab roots were somehow genetically dominant, giving us smaller features and a marginally lighter skin tone - deeming ourselves to be an entirely a different race from "pure" Africans.

Barack (Baraka) Hussein Obama Snr may have had the same idea. A little bit of arab goes a very long way...did he describe himself as Arab-African on the obama birth certificate?

New campaign slogan for the messiah: -

My name is Barack Hussein Obama - vote for me, the first muslim Arab-American candidate for President of the United States of America!

Obama: Arab American?.LINK.

Hey, if I were him, the first thing I would do is 'tweak' my father's race on any document, wouldn't you?

I think we finally figured out Barry’s ancestral religion...

...AME Church of the Sub-Genius.

I just had a sick thought. What if Barack is hiding his birth certificate because it contains Muhammad in it?

He is of the Omani lineage. That was the Prophet Muhammad’s lineage. Is Barack trying to insinuate he is the Mahdi?

OMG, they are setting up Barack to be the Mahdi:

http://www.hyahya.org/new_releases/news/070806_interview_aljazeera.php

Adnan Oktar: The Mahdi should already have appeared according to the writings of Said Nursi, and according to the accounts in reliable hadith and signs have already taken place. For example, we are told that Afghanistan will be occupied at the time of the appearance of the Mahdi. That has happened. There is also the fact that Iraq will be occupied, which has also taken place. An attack on the Kaaba was predicted, and that has happened as well. The waters of the Euphrates would be cut off. And the dam has done so. We are told that during the month of Ramadhan in the year of his appearance both the Sun and Moon will be eclipsed in a space of 15 days, and that has happened as well. Approximately a hundred portents like this have already taken place. For that reason, I am convinced that the Mahdi has appeared.

OPINION:

Well, let’s go off topic a minute...

Ahmadinejad — does he think he is the great mahdi?

http://off-topic.internet-haganah.com/archives/000164.html

Hmmm...Probably not, but he’s ready for the mahdi.

http://www.thememriblog.org/iran/blog_personal/en/8052.htm

...and he’s sure...the mahidi is coming soon.

http://www.thememriblog.org/iran/blog_personal/en/8286.htm

Those in doubt, need to know that Ahmadinejad believes deeply
in his buddy the “hidden imam.”

We also forget that Muslims took European slaves. Most came from the Mediterranian and Balkans, but as lat as the 16th century razziahs and slave raids were led against France, England, and Ireland.

That, and the fact that the arabs preferred their negro slaves castrated...

He wouldn’t be the first...a little history:

Mahdist Revolt
Main article: Mahdist War
Egyptian mismanagement eventually led to a revolt led by religious leader Muhammad ibn Abdalla, the self-proclaimed Mahdi (Guided One), who sought to purify Islam in Sudan. He led a nationalist revolt against Egyptian/British rule culminating in the fall of Khartoum and the death of the British General Charles George Gordon in 1885. The revolt was successful and Egypt and the British abandoned Sudan, and the resulting state was a theocratic Mahdist state.

From ‘The White Nile’ - The Moslem Revolt:

Mohammed Ahmed Ibn el-Sayyid Abdullah, the Mahdi, follows the true tradition of the warrior-priests of Islam. Like a sandstorm in the desert he appears, suddenly and inexplicably out of nowhere, and by some strange process of attraction generates an ever-increasing force as he goes along. Confused accounts were given of his origins: some said he came from a family of boat-builders on the Nile, others that he was the son of a poor religious teacher, others again that he was the descendand of a line of sheikhs. It was generally accepted, however, that he was born in the Dongola province in the North Sudan in 1844 (which would make him 37 years of age at this time), and that quite early in life he had achieved a local reputation for great sanctity and for a gift of oratory that was quite exceptional. His effects, it seemed, were obtained by an extra-ordinary personal magnetism.

“There was a strange splendour in his presence, an overwhelming passion in the torrent of his speech.’

He was a man possessed. Mohammed had promised that one of his descendants would one day appear and reanimate the faith, and Abdullah now declared, with an unshakable conviction, that he himself was that man...

(The Arabization of Africa continues, although the millions displaced in Darfur and starving in camps are mostly converts to islam, they are black and therefor only useful as slaves.)

The history of arabs in Africa is important. To be able to claim an arab bloodline represents power...it’s not a ‘heritage’ Barak Hussein Obama Snr would hide.

http://www.abrahamicfaiths.com/WebArticles/MehdiRevealed.htm

The Arabs like Hebrews are a group of people united by a common language, Arabic, and do not necessarily require certain genealogic relationship for its membership, as many mistakenly believe. Despite such a relaxed requirement it is ironic though that Arabs prided themselves on their ancestry and for them Arab was the noblest of nations...

...the concept of Mehdi has evolved to give legitimacy of governance to different political groups of interest for clear political ambitions and has nothing to do with Islam. The Holy Quran and the authentic Prophetic traditions (Bukhari and Muslim) are completely silent on this topic. Therefore, Mahdi related traditions, which I proved are weak should be approached with caution. An interesting parallel with Jewish eschatology is obvious.

He wouldn't be the first, correct; but he would be the first since UBL said he was coming. And his heritage isn't hidden to other Arabs. Hussein is also spelled Ḥusayn. That is the lineage of the Prophet Muhammad.

But, that is my point. The Luo are of the Omanis. There is a genealogic relationship. And the Mahdi is suppose to be a descendant.

If I were to use that word (correctly) I would be assaulted.
verbally and physically.

Did you see how that black city counselman (from Texas?) reacted when a white city counselman said “black hole” as in astros, outer space black hole.

you mean to say that obama snr had every right to identify himself as an Arab-African? That he wasn't just an elitist with ambition?

That he may have filled his son's head with stories of the Mahdi rule in the Sudan? hmmm...I think we are definitely on the same track.
