Wait a sec: Soros isn't a credible source for you, but Yugoslav Communists are?

The irony here is incredible.

Human Rights Watch, which isn't particularly pro-US, estimates that only about 500 civilians died in the NATO bombings. Cold comfort to the dead, of course, but this is an incredibly low number for such an extensive campaign.

GREAT!
Can ve have it again!? We grew to like to be bombed evry 20-30 years!
I mean, what is Balkan architectural style without bomb craters!?

Listen man. You are as much as Serb as my cat.
Grew up by the Serbs, feeded by the Serbs, fondled by the Serbs- but cant sing national anthem.
I mean, quadripod is still an animal, no matter what.

"if you were trying to argue the ~500 number you didn't have a solid leg to stand upon.

Glad you enjoyed "winning" that little delusional debate you had with yourself, Hopeless, given that I never argued numbers at all. I only questioned Human Rights Watch's credibility based on its own admitted relationship with George Soros.

As for your attempt at "reading my mind", your crystal ball is obviously broken -- along with the rest of your personality.

"Allied Force remains one of the better examples of our ability to minimize civilian losses while engaging in and winning a military conflict."

The only thing we "won" was a terrorized Serbian civilian population. I do understand the appeal of this "strategy" to a sniveling little coward like you who wants an aggressive America as a substitute for your own lack of manhood. But it is the strategy of a bully and an aggressor, not of a freedom-loving democratic nation.

"The irony here is incredible."

Yes, it is.

Earlier today you were defending convicted Nazi deathcamp commanders and here you are defending Soros and tossing around the label "communist" like a paper airplane. It's truly "ironic" --and completely ridiculous.

Thanks for the laugh!

Do you not understand what you post, or do you only pretend not to in retrospect, when doing so would make you look even more the fool? To question an organization's credibility while maintaining you accept the data they produce is absurd.

The only thing we "won" was a terrorized Serbian civilian population.

We won the withdrawal of Serbian forces from Kosovo, which was our stated intent. Given the subsequent evidence of ethnic cleansing and mass murder perpetrated by those forces, accompanied by yet another failed Serbian attempt at playing "hide the evidence" ours remains the correct course of action.

I do understand the appeal of this "strategy" to a sniveling little coward like you who wants an aggressive America as a substitute for your own lack of manhood.

Yes, well, we can't all live in a virile, tumescent nation on the rise which towers above all its envious neighbors like Serbia, can we?

Well, maybe if Belgrade let's the EU join Serbia, we'll have our chance.

We'll just have to see how that goes.

I'm not defending Soros, Bokababe...I loathe the guy. I just find it funny that you yell and scream when the numbers of victims of the Serbs are inflated, but buy it hook, line and sinker when the Serbs are the victims.

That's called cognitive dissonance on your part.

Is that right.

Ahem, I find it funny, for example, how you can set at your computer with a straight face and claim that General Gotovina is (was) a hero and blithely put all of the blame on Martic et. al.

Cognitive Dissonance?

You're oversimplifying.

Look, the main reason NATO found itself sucked into the the Kosovo conflict was because there was a prevailing belief - at that time - that if the conflict was not stopped, it would soon spill over in Macedonia. If that happened then that republic's neighbors would be brought in. Albania would invoke its defense treaties with Turkey, Greece would then become involved and there were worries that there might be repercussions in Cyprus. As such, it was thout that it might be better to become involved too early then too late.

The other point I would make, is that the NATO bombings were a (knee-jerk) reaction to Serbian actions from Dubrovnik to Vukovar, to Sarajevo, to Srebrenica.

Of course Gotovina is a hero....he did nothing wrong. Even the ICTY indictment states that he personally did nothing wrong and the trial has shown that he wasn’t in command when the looting, torching, and killing of 150 Serbs happened.
