I think that General Clark trusted the wrong people; Mladic must have been laughing so hard behind the scenes during the negotiation process. Between Karadzic and Mladic, I always thought that Mladic was the more egotistical, cunning, and ruthless of the two. You can see it in his eyes and demeanor in video footage.
