He reminds me of Obama: say anything, do anything to get/keep power; no principles

Since it seems like he has given up on getting anything of real importance thru the Calif. legislature, and the shellacking he took a few years ago in the propositions - the only thing left where he can do anything - for good or ill - is environmental issues. Too bad.

Being a registered Republican is a waste of time anymore. The Republican Party is just another shade of Democrat Party. Planning to switch to Independent.

I feel as useless as an Illinois Republican. Wait! I AM an Illinois Republican! Why can't we replace Little Dick Turban? Because of a failure of leadership and a blend of the two parties known in Springfield as "The Combine" - an organization that simply protects all who are there rather than getting the work done for the citizens of Illinois. This is the same party that gave us the Alan Keyes circus when Barry walked away in a cakewalk.

I wish Arnold would just call himself an Independent or go ahead and admit he’s a Democrat or even a Green so we’re not eternally embarrassed seeing the R after his name every time he opens his mouth and proves he’s a leftist.

would allow Obama to make an appointment from across the aisle that would not upset his core supporters.

Across what aisle?

I’d rather he prove himself disastrous in Hollywood than in Sacramento or DC. Whether or not he is good in a movie only matters to those who buy a ticket or have an investment of some kind in the industry. All of us have an interest in what happens in the government of CA or God forbid he gets there...DC.

And he can share his knowledge of the energy needed to propel his Chrysler 300 at 90mph on I5.

This guy commutes to work in a Jet?

His hypocrisy doesn't end there. I read a report that he wanted to buy a private jet, but he didn't want to pay the state sales tax, so instead, he bought the whole company that owned the jet to avoid the sales tax.

The taxinator thinks taxes are for only for us little people.

To simplify I classify them in to two groups the duped and the dupers.

Schwarzenegger, Guiliani are the dupers. Their conservatism is only skin deep and they only embrace the Republican agenda to get elected. After election they distance themselves from that agenda to work with the other side. They really were believers in the other agenda to start with.

George Bush, Lyndsey Graham are the among the duped. They are either too nice (Bush) or too dumb (Graham) to see that calls to work with the other side are as meaningless as Lucy’s offer to hold the football for Charlie Brown. They mean well and at least in the case of Bush I think are true belevers. Graham I think just wants to be liked. I wonder was he an outcast in high school.

So there’s my Psychiatric Evaluation ala Lucy..that will be $0.05 please. :)

I will be glad when this clown exits the stage. I cannot stand to even listen to his broken English any longer. I must say that I'm not disappointed with him. I knew he was going to be a joke from the start.
He never would have been elected governor if there wasn't a special recall election and the vote for alternative candidates was split among three running. This is how this clown slipped in. It was conservative talk radio that did the heavy lifting on the Gray Davis recall. Then Arnold refused to appear on any of these radio stations. He only participated in one debate and he made a fool of himself in that one. He never would have made it out of a Republican primary.
He has appointed every left wing jerk to positions in the California Bureaucracy that he could.
He has bought in on this global warming nonsense. He was supposed to be the “green governor” as some publications have called him. Only he use to drive a Hummer, lives in a Palatial Estate and flys back and forth between LA and Sacramento everyday in his Gulfstream. What a fraud. I'm told he is spending his own money for this so it is not on the taxpayer's dime. I will give him credit for this. But for him to criticize Bush about so called “global warming” with his carbon footprint, well that really take the cake. Arnold is a jerk among jerks.
As far as being Energy Czar, heaven help us. Arnold doesn't know the first thing about Energy. He probably could not tell you the difference between power and energy. Arnold is a buffoon.

And to think, a few years back there was talk of amending the “natural born citizen” requirement in the Constitution so Arnie could run for President.

“First of all, Arnold is a pretty bright fellow. He may be using his power for some things we don’t agree with right now, but that doesn’t make him a dummy”

No you are flat out wrong. Arnold has shown an ability to make money. He has intelligence in this area. He made a fortune by (appearing in) making bad movies that appeal to stupid people (I never bought a ticket to a Schwarzenegger movie). But he is not a “bright fellow”. He is in way over his head in an area which he knows little or nothing about. He knows absolutely NOTHING about energy. His idea of a hydrogen highway was stupidity squared. His advisors finally had to tell him to shut up about this. This guy’s 15 minutes is way overdue. It’s time for him to exit the stage. But he doesn’t want to exit the stage. He cannot run for political office again unless he wants to run for the Senate but I do not think his advisors want him to challenge Boxer or Feinstein. So he is looking for things to do when his term is up. I don’t think he wants to go back to Hollywood. Been there done that. I will be happy when he exits the stage. Arnold is a complete self absorbed jerk.

If the huge mistakes he as made as governor aren’t the result of stupidity then he has accomplished a world class betrayal of the California taxpayers and voters.

Poor Schwarzenegger -— he’s living proof that steroids shrink the testicles AND the brain.

His election to Governor also proved the electorate has become to silly to entrust with the power of the vote.

Face it folks -— America today has been dumbed down to nearly Third World status.

This is one reason I stop and think hard in pondering a vote for McCain, which is unlikely from me, depending on his VP. Back when Arnold got elected, it was hard to imagine anyone worse for California than Cruz Bustamonte -- that was the "fear" whip, the thing that had me shivering: the prospect of ultra-liberal Mexican racist Cruz Bustamonte as state governor, as shallow and useless and inane as the L.A. Mayor, Tony Villar, better kown as Villaraigosa. A vote for Schwarzenegger correlated with a vote for McCain -- liberal as you knew him to be (and it wasn't really THAT bad, was it???), he was better than the alternative. That was my thinking at the time.

Bustamonte -- at least with shallow candidates, the support is illusion and they and the image of their party are guaranteed to go down in flames. Arnold is pissing on conservatism and sabatoging the Republican image as the party of the alternative. As in, small-government, leave-me-the-hell-alone conservatism. Arnold makes that impossible here.

I realize now that Schwarzenegger is worse.

McCain might be wose than Obama. It's seriously worth considering.
