I can still remember in my 10th grade biology class back in 1963. The teacher asked what do you have when a sperm and egg unite. She asked a sort of ditszy girl who was actually pretty smart but wasn't a very good student. She answered, "a baby", and it irritated the teacher.

I thought her answer was perfectly valid. To me it seemed obvious it was a baby no matter how old or developed. It still seems crystal clear to me.

You can call it a zygote, an embryo or whatever. It is still a unique human being right from the very start.

What a great "Captain Obvious" moment! Seems the diszt had a better grasp on the reality of the situation than the the teacher.
