I don’t think it’s cowardice as much as it is simply anti-Christian.
(Like it or not folks) our traditional culture in America is CHRISTIAN, and our society is based on those values.
They want to destroy these traditions and culture and replace it with their own.

You nailed it. And besides, the defense could simply state that the Apostle Paul claims to use ‘REASON’ in intepretation of scripture. Did the men on trial state that homosexuals should be destroyed? Or did they simply state a biblical reference that claims that homosexuals cannot enter the kingdom of God? What claim did these men make that asserted homosexuals treatment on earth?
My belief: The Bill of Rights. ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL. That means all men are treated equal but that does not mean homosexuals get special privaleges such as stating scripture about entering a faith-based belief of life-after-death kingdom has caused mental anguish. Men jamming each other in the butt potentially spreading deadly disease causes me mental anguish but do you see me suing?
My personal belief (and I am Christian) is that homosexuals should be cared for and loved until they directly threaten MY RIGHTS.
My second belief is that homosexuals should not serve as a Pastor, Priest or any other religious leader, because being homosexual creates skewed thought process where as a person in any important leadership position should have complete emotional control to serve the public AT ALL TIMES.
That such a legal case is even being filed, having homosexuals burst into a MASS and make fun of worship in San Franciso, to very indecent public marches to the pinko movement trashing military recruiting stations demonstrates mental instability to have a leadership position, case and point.
This all comes from a guy who lived with two gay roomates for a year when I was younger, so don’t tell me I don’t get it or I am homophobic.
