REDDICK - Marion County sheriff's deputies arrested an undocumented immigrant from Guanajuato, Mexico, on Sunday evening on charges of molesting an 8-year-old girl.

The victim's grandmother entered a bedroom and found Martin Ramirez Garcia, 43, with the girl, sheriff's Detective Mariam Diaz said.

"She didn't see the actual touching, but she saw him on top of her," Diaz said. "The grandmother beat him off of her."

According to the arrest affidavit, the victim told an investigator that Ramirez Garcia touched her inappropriately over her clothing on several occasions and exposed himself to her. Diaz said the victim's 5-year-old sister also saw Garcia touch the 8-year-old but was not a victim herself.

In a videotaped interview, Ramirez Garcia admitted touching the girl three times and exposing himself to her, according to the affidavit.

"When asked if he touched the 5-year-old, [Ramirez Garcia] said no," Diaz said. "He said she was too young."

Garcia was taken to the Marion County Jail and charged with lewd and lascivious molestation and lewd and lascivious exhibition.

THE "NEW AMERICAN"
..........<

We are now one of the largest Spanish-speaking nations in the world. We're a major source of Latin music, journalism and culture.

Just go to Miami, or San Antonio, Los Angeles, Chicago or West New York, New Jersey ... and close your eyes and listen. You could just as easily be in Santo Domingo or Santiago, or San Miguel de Allende.

For years our nation has debated this change -- some have praised it and others have resented it. By nominating me, my party has made a choice to welcome the new America.

Our future cannot be separated from the future of Latin America.

As I speak, we are celebrating the success of democracy in Mexico.

George Bush from a campaign speech in Miami, August 2000.

You can read the speech here.

Here is an excerpt of a good critique of that speech:

In equating our intimate historic bonds to our mother country and to Canada with our ties to Mexico, W. shows a staggering ignorance of the civilizational facts of life. The reason we are so close to Britain and Canada is that we share with them a common historical culture, language, literature, and legal system, as well as similar standards of behavior, expectations of public officials, and so on. Maybe this is what Bush meant when he keeps referring to “jobs Americans won’t do”.

Just continuing to rape the helpless, innocent American children, the US Congress wants raped.

Hanging’s too good for this type. Punishment for this kind of aberrant criminal behaviour requires a dirty set of garden loppers.

Would she be less molested if it was an American citizen on top of her? Or would someone like to show that Americans never molest kids? Or maybe he molested her because he’s an illegal alien.

Should he be deported? Yes, after serving prison time in America. Should he have been deported before molesting the child? Yes, for coming here illegally. She he have come here at all? No, the wall that should be there should have kept him out.

Stick to the facts of illegal immigration and your arguments go lots further regarding the whole of the illegal immigration problem. I’m not sure it’s a good thing nor does it help the cause among thinking people to even infer that all, most or even a substantial number of illegals are sexual predators. Anyone with evidence to the contrary, please correct me.

How about using logic and saying "If he were not here she would not have been molested."

Isn't that enough?

All molestation is unacceptable but some seem to think that since it happens at the hands of legal citizens, it should be accepted at the hands of illegals.

Must be some kind of “right” or something.

Stick to the facts of illegal immigration and your arguments go lots further regarding the whole of the illegal immigration problem.

Then you do consider it somewhat of a problem.

Consider:

There are approximately 240,000 illegal immigrant sex offenders in the United States.

This staggering statistic, rarely mentioned by the media, was revealed in a study by Deborah Schurman-Kauflin of the Violent Crimes Institute in Atlanta, Georgia.

"It is clear," she says, "that the U.S. public faces a dangerous threat from sex predators who cross the U.S. borders illegally." What's more, she adds, "Then they gradually commit worse crimes and are continually released back into society or deported. Those who were deported simply returned illegally again."

Oh, I get it now. It took me a bit to realize you were reacting to my post regarding Bush's invitation to a "new America".

Did YOU help nominate Bush to build a "new America"? Does your chest swell with pride every time you hear "Press 1 for English. Press 2 for spanish"?

Bush's open door policy, with the promise of acceptance, if not amnesty, of the hordes coming here illegally is what is at the root of the illegals problem in the U.S.

We don't have millions of Irish, Germans, Poles, Chinese, Ethiopians, Australians, etc. invading our country. But. We DO have millions of hispanics doing it. MILLIONS! Why? Because Bush tacitly invited them and promised them they would become "new Americans".

Along with the millions of invaders are mixed in thousands of criminals. Also, a lot of them, after years of acceptance of their criminal status, begin to believe they are above the law. Why else would they drive cars without licenses, work without papers or even use hospitals with no intention of ever paying the bill?

It's because the U.S. lets them. And, so we now have people who molest children mixed in.

One thing I have noticed about these criminals is that it seems they always easily admit to the crime. As if, in their minds, they don't understand what the big deal is. "Hey, I got away with all those other things why are you so upset about me molesting an 8 year old?"

Save your breath raybbr, illegal apologist don't seem to understand that simply fact. If this illegal had not been allowed to come here this particular crime wouldn't have happened. They think if we American born criminals it is just fine and dandy to import more. Lister Liberty 275 read this and try to comprehend it: If illegals were not here the particular crimes they commit or will commit wouldn't happen. If we have over 275,000 illgal alien sex offenders in the USA right now that means if we had kept them out that a minimum of 275,000(and that is only if they committed one crime each, a very unlikely probability)sexual assault crimes that wouldn't have been committed here. We also have thousands of illegals committing other crimes and every one of those crimes would not have been committed here if we controlled our borders, period.

I know you probably can't quite grasp this concept and want to hold onto your flawed theory that because Americans commit crimes illegals should be allowed to also but maybe, someday, you will have a coherent thought and suddenly understand logic, one can only hope.

In the DC area we have had numerous attacks on children by pedophiles who are illegal aliens such as Ramirez Garcia. Protecting our borders and rounding up and deporting illegal aliens would help significantly protect our citizens and our country for pedophiles and killers as well as terrorists.

"Prince William County [Virginia] officials . . . attributed a 19.3 decline in crimes against people from 2006 to 2007 to last year's crackdown on illegal immigrants." (Pr. William officials say crackdown on illegals reason for crime decline" by David Sherfinski, The Examiner, June 30, 2008)
