Many articles about this in the last few days - someone said on FR that this is early 70s era ore that the IAEA knew about and is not any more recent than that.

That point is probably irrelevant to the larger discussion - the possession of nuclear materials and a nuclear program was just one of the 14 reasons for going to war and nobody can truthfully say that that reason wasn't valid.
