Trumpet blasts to Jesus: 'We're awake' on Earth
WorldNetDaily ^ | 07/03/08 | Joe Kovacs

An American pastor who made news in April by studying NASA's eclipse calendar to speculate on the return of Jesus Christ to Earth is now planning a worldwide blast of trumpets this fall to get God's attention.

Mark Biltz of El Shaddai Ministries in Bonney Lake, Wash., is organizing the global "Day of Shouting" for the evening of Sept. 29, marking the annual biblical holiday known as the Feast of Trumpets.

Thousands of horns blowing at once would be an awesome sound to hear! Having fun praising God in the US of A.

Is it there position that God exists, but just isn't paying attention?

Wouldn’t honking horns result in a bigger participation? I don’t know anyone that has access to a trumpet.

“...a worldwide blast of trumpets this fall to get God’s attention.”

A single diligent, whispered prayer works just as well.

Ahhhhh good o’l World Nut Daily.

I live a short drive from Bonney Lake. I'll make a note on the calendar to keep an ear turned towards the town so I can hear all the noise. But I bet I hear nothing above the sound the birds singing in my cedars, or the occasional piper cub flying overhead.

No..for that would define what a Deist believes. Go to the El Shaddai website link and find out directly the answer to your question. Thanks for asking it.

He’s an idiot. The Lord God is not asleep nor is He away from His people or His creation. NO man will know the hour or the day of the return of the Lord Jesus and NO man can hasten His coming. We who have been purchased by His blood are to be ready, watching, anticipating His return so we will not be “asleep” (at home in the world) when He does appear. When He does return, ALL will know it, for in that day He will judge all men and render unto them the reward for their deeds. “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”

Yes, indeed. It is a personal decision which each person makes for themselves. We can seek the blessing of God on His people, of course, but “His people” isn’t political or social construct. It is a “Kingdom not of this world” as Jesus told us, I believe. Our Father is there for us and I think each of us must approach Him individually. This is not to say this other man is wrong, but it is simply not my understanding of God’s ways.

Sure..can be done anytime, anywhere...but a special event blowing trumpets, horns or whatever would be fun and in coordination with the feast of trumpets.

PS: Whats up with all the sour responses here...post holiday blues or Monday back to work blahs? Lighten up y'all!!!

My response that God listens and answers even the most modest and simplest of prayers is hardly a “sour response”.

On the contrary, it is The Good News, and indeed the best of all possible news.

This whole thing has a weird “Horton Hears a Who” quality about it.

I am under the impression that the Good Book states that the Lord is aware of everything that goes on everyplace.

If so, why do we need this sort of showboating?

The 'Feast of Trumpets' is an annual Jewish religious observation for Rosh Hashana. The worldwide blowing of Trumpets, horns, etc... will be timed with that event El Shaddai's plan is to have worldwide christians participate in the event. See link for more education on it.

What with this Judaising enthusiasm in American sects? Weird and a little sad, the way rootless people cling to another tradition.

He knows your heart and your mind intimately. Why on earth do these people think he needs an bunch of stand-ins for Gabriel?

(Rhetorical question, don’t answer. I won’t read it.)
