It is amazing how similar the thoughts and behaviors of queasy liberal socialists prove to be everywhere they are found. Sure the sets of local facts and challenges differ in detail, but this is the same kind of imbecilic “thinking” (not really) that has wrecked America’s cities for decades. Why is European civilization in serious decay in the face of the Islamist onslaught? Slovenly socialist ‘idealists’ always think they know better than to deal with reality.

Substitute sloppy wishful thinking for observed reality, tip-toe away from all sensitive issues and interest groups, grovel before ruthless bloodthirsty killers who will destroy civilized society if given the chance.

Liberal socialists everywhere suffer from delusional, foolish naivete and gullibility.

There was a similar type of thinking that excused and explained away the race riots in the late 1960s and which turned Americans against the Left. The notion the police are incapable of enforcing the law, saving lives and deterring crimes is one no civilized society ought to accept. Moreover, its incredible the IDF fought for two years to keep a patriotic young Israeli out of its ranks because he had the temerity to stand up to one of the stupidest policies the Israeli government had ever inflicted upon the country. In both cases, lives were saved only because off duty soldiers acted decisively where the police stood by and did nothing. The ideology that has created a culture of moral cowardice in Israeli institutions and which facilitates Arab criminality and jihadism is harming Israel. That is what must be addressed head on if Jews are to be a free people in their own land. It also the kind of reform the current government isn't going to undertake.
