100 years and a day after the Tunguska event. Could we be passing through the same group of fragments that caused that explosion a century ago?
are we still calling meteors “fireballs”? I guess my Mossberg would be a “thunderstick”, and my pool is the “cement pond”...

Ask LAist: Fireball Over Hollywood Hills?
Update: More witnesses see the fireball, read the update here | From the LAist Inbox: Legit or For Real? A reader writes in... “I work in Beverly Hills on the 8th floor of our building, and I was talking to a co-worker when I saw a massive orange light fly West to Northeast over the Hollywood hills. It was like a shooting star but ridiculously close. Am I the only one who saw this? Am I going crazy here? No one believes me at the office and Im getting pissed.” It happened around 10:40 a.m. he said in a follow up e-mail. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, nothing unusual has been reported.
Might have been Hancock.
