A sad ping indeed nutmeg. Prayers that Mike finds his courage during this most difficult time. His boys are counting on him.

I get his radio show's late night replays where I live. Last week he was talking about her being moved to hospice care, even though he said she was 40 feet down the hall from where he was broadcasting the show. He said she told him to "go talk to your people." She must have been quite a woman.

You could tell he was pretty torn up. They must have had a good marriage. Prayers for him and his 4 kids.

I had looked on FR over the weekend for a thread after I heard the replay of Mike early Saturday morning of his Friday show. He said she was having hospice care. She had told him to go to work. He mentioned her birthday too. You could tell the end was near for her. He said she was sleeping 90% of the time and the hospice people were making her comfortable. I don’t always listen to his show, but when I do hear it, it’s the replay during the early mornings. He always talked a lot about her. When I heard she had cancer, I figured she would make it. So sorry for Mike and their boys.

Maybe there are more threads about Denise’s passing, but I only learned of her death during this morning’s radio show. Last I knew, Denise was home and Hospice was there. I am so sorry for Mike and his boys.

One of my favorite things about Mike’s show was hearing in his voice how dearly he loved his wife. He was a wonderful husband to her. May the Lord bless them and keep them.
