I feel so bad for Mike. He just did his show on Friday from his house. He said then that his wife was sleeping 90% of the time and waking up confused and they had hospice help taking care of her. I knew it wouldn’t be long after that. Even Mike said then that the Good Lord was getting ready to carry her home.
God please bless Mike and the four boys during this terrible time.
I just checked to see if I could find out any more info., and saw this very sad post from Mike last year at Town Hall, when she first got the diagnosis:
Oh dear.
Prayers for Mike and the kids...
Joann, thanks for posting that from last year. Isn’t that sad? Such a sweet column. May the Lord hold them all close to Himself.
Oh my gosh, this is such sad news. I heard Mike one morning talking about his beautiful wife’s fight with cancer. He spoke very eloquently about her determination and how the physicians’ were taking very good care of her. He took the positive road on their ordeal. God Bless Mike and his entire family. I am sure Denise is in the loving arms of our Lord.
May God hold them all close, and help Mike and the boys cope with their loss by their loving memories. Her spirit is always near.
First, let me say, I offer my most sincere condolences to you for the loss of your husband.
I guess I get frustrated as I do see advances in certain types of cancer, yet others remain a most certain and quick death sentence. Liver Cancer, Lung Cancer, Pancreatic Cancer all seem to remain the deadliest forms of cancer, (and I’ve lost family members to all three), yet we seem no closer to learning how to prevent these forms, nor do we seem any closer to any meaningful, life prolonging treatment. I am sure the work is going on, I just hate the progress is so slow in some areas. Sadly, Cancer is the #1 killer for people under the age of 95.
I knew she was in a hospice, and then at home with hospice nurses. Mike and Denise had tremendous support from his family and friends in Southlake and the DFW area. My prayers for him and his family.
Sad news.
Sending prayers.
I listen to Mike’s show all the time, my prayers and condolences to him and his whole family and Denise’s as well.
Thanks for the ping, BufordP.
I am sorry to hear this news and thinking of Mike and his next few days, especially.
Very sad. I occasionally caught Mike’s show when he was on in Boston and his love and support for his wife was obvious.
Prayers and condolences from OH for the Gallagher family

Prayers up for Mike. He showed tremendous love for deputy Hank Nava’s family. Mike has a big heart.
I heard Bill this morning. As soon as they opened the show with the song “Denise”, I knew.
Prayers for Mike and Denise’s sons; Denise is home for her birthday.
