Coded prejudice is cloaked dagger (Any word you use may be racism)
The Chicago Tribune ^ | June 30, 2008 | Dahleen Glanton

Tomeika Broussard thought it was so absurd when she overheard her supervisor refer to her as a "reggin" that she just laughed. Then she realized it was the n-word spelled backward.

The only African-American in the small medical clinic in Los Gatos, Calif., Broussard said she was subjected to racial slurs almost daily. They were not the overt ones that most people would immediately recognize, but rather subtle, surreptitious code words that sometimes take a while to figure out. Federal officials say they have seen an increase in harassment complaints involving coded words and images in the workplace. Whether it is geared toward racial groups, religious affiliations, sex or sexual orientation, code words have proliferated in recent years through the Internet, where Web sites provide forums for creating, discussing and spreading new words promoting intolerance.

"When 'reggin' came up, I'd never heard that word but I knew it was negative. So I had this kind of nervous, shocked laugh," said Broussard, 31, who was awarded $44,000 in damages last year in a racial harassment lawsuit filed after she was fired from her job as a file clerk. "I didn't know whether it was illegal, but I knew it was not OK. It was humiliating."

Got to read to page 2 before there is any counterpoint to the onslaught of prejudicial treatment of "free speech".

I didn't know it was getting this bad in the U.S.

Intolerance. We must all "tolerate" everything unless it offend someone else.

Propaganda piece. Pure propaganda.

Coded words? You mean like... "19". Oh for cryin out loud, are the trial lawyers that desperate for work? Yes.

It's a 70s rehash. Men opening doors for females are considered "chauvinist pigs" - meaning, the opening of doors was a "put-down" of women, implying they weren't "strong" enough to open doors for themselves.

From article: "increasingly become coded with phrases such as "full-blooded Americans""

Full-blooded Americans are those, regardless of race, creed, ethnicity, country of birth who are for the constitution, the free markets, independence, and accountability.

Hey big stupid "deciders" of this "coded" crapola -- why not include the whole "colors" thing about gangs as "coded messages"? For starters...

And what Democrats mean when they say:

For the children...

For the poor..

For minorities...

Lies damned lies.

Why would a small medical clinic hire someone and then inflict racial slurs on her on a daily basis?

Someone give these thin skinned people a book of nursery rhymes.

"Sticks & stones may break my bones

but names will never hurt me
".

There ... all better now?

I guess MS Perpetually-Outraged didn't have to answer that question.

Is it just me or is 'tolerance' being redefined as "you must celebrate my lack of personal responsibility like it's a virtue"?

People generally can get along with competant people without chips on their shoulders.

Personally, I’m offended by the word ‘progressive’ attached as a label to someone whose political program I don’t agree with because that makes me anti-progress.

The first time I heard “wigger”, it had to be explained to me.

"It'll get worse."

Absolutely. As the election gets closer, the MSM will be running these stories front page and above the fold.

Have to keep that guilt going strong and keep Hussein Obama in the news as a victim.

“Is it just me or is ‘tolerance’ being redefined as “you must celebrate my lack of personal responsibility like it’s a virtue”?”

It is called Relativism, Egalitarianism and Secular Humanism. These three cultural ideologies are the cornerstone of the NEA’s vision of public education - one of which is to tolerate the intolerable. Others include: 1) equality of outcomes, 2) the elimination of hierarchies among human populations, 3) the independent determination of all truths, 4) the eradication of God in moral and cultural development... etc...etc...etc.

What you are witnessing now with Obeyme fanatics is the payoff for 30 years of brainwashing at the hands of public education and the media.

Wow, how many times did I hear that from my parents and other relatives. At the time it just aggravated me, that they could be so nonchalant when it came to my feelings. Then one day it dawned on me that all of life is pretty much better if you learn to handle an insult with your response rather than hoping to educate the rest of the world to behave in way that’s not offensive to you.

I just read about a Newark Little League team that calls itself the Black Crackers. I don’t think there’s a suburban team called the White N———.
