She said she was encouraged that development in Alaska was being included in energy discussions in Washington, D.C. But she said she found it "ridiculous" that the nation's leaders, including the president, were pleading with Saudi Arabia to ramp up oil production while places in the U.S. were still off limits to drilling.

"We're ready to tap these resources," she said. "We're ready to share them with the rest of the U.S."

Back in 90's, I had the pleasure to talk to Palin a few times when she has mayor in Wasilla. She impressed me back them and still does today.

Ya know what I like about her? She does the right thing, even when it grates the repub establishment up here;;; and that's why Alaskans support her.

McCain and Palin need to take an exploratory expedition up to ANWR on an aircraft. McCain needs to see for himself this place. Then they need to hold a joint press conference and announce that due to the dramatic changes in world oil demand, America's responsibility to the world demands we expand our energy supply.

If America falters in achieving energy independence, we will cause an economic domino effect so disastrous that it is unpredictable as to where it will take the entire world.

We may soon experience what is called an economic tipping point. I worry that it will be an economic tsunami that will wash out entire nations.
