Interesting that we never hear of home-schooled kids getting pregnant.
Recall the home schooler whose boyfriend shot and killed his girlfriends family. The daughter and boyfriend lived but the daughters parents were dead. The parents didn't want the daughter to see the boy. The daughter was involved so it's not as though home schoolers don't have issues ... I believe this was n Pennsylvania. Homeschooling is not the answer that makes crime unthinkable.

Probably because their parents keep it hidden. Really, is this tragic story of a newborn life so callously snuffed out the time to bring up home schooling?
I know of homeschooled girls that have become pregnant. Maybe it doesn’t make the news- but it happens.
Yall c'mom. I home schooled too. Home schoolers aren't perfect kids. They can be just as rebellious as any other kids, and if they are in "lust" they can get in trouble too. This girl is not your average 14 y/o ,any kind of school kid.
The homeschoolers I know that have gotten pregnant before marriage were older and I think all of them married and made families. No divorces yet that I know of, but I don’t think any of them have been married more than five or six years.

Tragedy is in the news of the homeschooling world today.
• Teen couple found today by police (LancasterOnline) - I can honestly say I am totally upset by this story. Allegedly, an 18 year old boy shot and killed the parents of his 14 year old girlfriend, Kara Borden. The couple was picked up this morning in Indiana and David Ludwig was taken into custody. The Borden family was a Christian homeschooling family and the teens met through the local homeschool network. My heart breaks for both kids and both families as their lives are shattered forever.

I agree it’s rare and unusual for this kidn of stuff to happen to a home schooling family but stuff happens to kids. Parents really have to be involved with their kids and KNOW what is REALLY going on with them.
