Again? Race Comment 'Disturbs' Sharpton By STEVE FINK, WCBSTV.COM
NEW YORK (CBS) ― It appears "shock jock" Don Imus may not have learned his lesson following last year's "nappy-headed ho" debacle.
In an audio file of the Monday, June 23, edition of his talk radio program, "Imus In The Morning," heard in New York on WABC-AM, Imus made what some consider a questionable comment during a discussion about oft-troubled NFL player Adam "Pacman" Jones, who wants to drop his nickname.
When Imus' co-host Turner Wolf informed Imus that the suspended Dallas Cowboys cornerback had been arrested a slew of times during his young career, Imus appeared to imply that Jones' race may have been a reason why.
The conversation went as follows:

The ratings might go up tomorrow because people will want to hear Imus's explanation...I can't listen to the show....Besides everything else I find annoying about the show, the commercials seem never-ending...
Isn’t Imus statistically correct in his conclusion regarding these matters? He did not use any ugly words...only what is in the newspapers of every major city in this country. It isn’t an exclusive and universal, but it is a consistency. Ask Bill Cosby.
Hah! Brilliant comment, bubbs...
I must admit when I first heard it, I thought he meant that because Pacman was AA, it was easier for him to get busted...it was just that with his history, I could not imagine him saying something like that again. I hardly listen to him anymore, whereas I used to religiously.
Sharpton and all the other race pimping extortionists need to show some outrage over the obscenities being explained as a “black thing”.....
70% out of marriage child birth —— Crimes way out of proportion to population —— Black on black crime —— Insufficient educational achievements —— Out of proportion Drug use and trafficking -——— to name a few of the things that SHOULD be attracting Sharpton’s attention...
But — there ain’t no money in preaching to his people.....
He’s got to come down on the white devils responsible.....
Freedom of speech, should permit one to comment on the observed behavior of folks without being attacked by black racists or apologists screaming “OUTRAGE, RACIST”.
If one doesn’t like the labels -— change the product.
stereotypes are stereotypes because....they are true.
(Not defending Imus.)
I can’t help but notice Sharpton has nary a peep to offer the collective body politic regarding Obama, but the first thing Imus utters regarding a black athlete, and he’s all over it.
He offends me.
Can I sue him?
old wrinkly lily...
Thanks! :)
