I’ve heard recent “polls” just today , though, underlining the general majority belief that “most” Americans believe the Oil COmpanies make too much money and they’d like to see them weakened, or punished in some way, and that’s a necessary first step toward nationalization.
The Left is always testing the waters with their polling, while “telling” Americans “what they believe”, in order to create a synthetic fictional electorate that can be tricked into believing what it already “believes”.
Anyway, it turns out Maxine’s statement was “Policy-in-the-making” and not just a “slip” of the resentful Marxist tongue....they’ve got a snowball’s chance in hell of actually doing this, but they’ll figure out a hundred indirect ways to undermine Capitalism.
