On that subject though don't forget there was little love lost between the Queen and Maggie they did not get along. Having said that I am sure that Maggie would have been one of the first to criticize the interference of the UN in our domestic affairs.

I always remember the ultimate snub Maggie gave Royalty when she took the victory salute after the Falklands because of course it should have been the Queen as the PM does not have any ceremonial role with our armed forces. It is the crown that our troops swear allegiance to of course in practice it is the government of the day that determines their international role.

Thanks for the reminder on the ceremonial role of the monarchy in contrast to the role of the Parliament. They are Her Majesty's Ships, aren't they. That makes Britain an interesting place to me.

Regardless of anyone's view of the monarchy there, or of Parliament, for that matter, I pray the UK will send the UNO packing when its agencies pretend to interfere with the UK’s sovereignty.

And regardless of anyone's individual view of current international conflicts, we appreciate the UK’s steady friendship in difficult times.
