Are these people part-time? Who works for $16,000?
$70,000 is hardly outrageous. Why should he sacrifice his own agenda over $5 million a year?
LA Constitution, Article X, Section 29.1 states in part: “...the following elected...officials are hereby deemed to be part-time public servants...:
(1) Any legislator....”
