White guilt made “The Great Society” possible.
Guilt can be a great motivator, but it is based on emotion, not reason.
Not sure about your assertion. I’m currently finishing up Goldberg’s “Liberal Fascism”,
and progressive support of fascism was a huge factor in the Great Society and New Deal.
It was more about collectivism and top down control than it was about helping poor minorities.
