And yet the electorate is still split evenly between R and D. I just don’t get it.

'And yet the electorate is still split evenly between R and D. I just don’t get it.'

...This is by and large a part of the problem; my personal opinion is the MSM has long had a hand in creating the electoral makeup, what with the incessant negative reporting on the Bush Administration and the GOP as articulated in Mr. Di Pippo's column. The only reason it isn't 60/40 (Democrat/Republican), at least for the moment anyway, is because of the efforts of Conservative Talk Radio and Internet Blogs. And of course, people like ourselves who don't easily buy into the Mainstream Media's nonsense (I go one step further: I no longer subscribe to cable television or newspapers for that matter).

Unfortunately, there are still many people out there who are not immune to the Marxist onslaught: Just the other day the pastor's Administrative Assistant of my church forwarded me an email encouraging (Black) people to buy the latest copy of Newsweek, which features exclusive coverage of Michelle Obama.

My response was as follows: "I hate to rain on your parade, but I do not support Senator Obama's candidacy, nor will I put one red cent into the Liberal Media's coffers, especially Newsweak."
