Democrats For McCain Watch

To the George Washington University College Republicans Chairman, Brand Kroeger

Greetings,

My name is Daniel Boehmer and I am a member of the College Democrats here at George Washington University. I additionally served as a member of Nicole Capp's cabinet as Assistant VPJLA to Andrew Salzman and on the Joint Elections Committee (JEC) this past year. A long time supporter of Sen. Hillary Clinton these past 16 months of her campaign, the selection of Sen. Obama has placed me, like many other Democrats, in an odd position. For me however, the debate between 'loyalty' to my party and voting based on my conscience was quickly settled. I determined that my support would, in lieu of Sen. Clinton's nomination to the Democratic Party, be given to Sen. John McCain. In light of this development, I believe that the GW College Republicans community finds itself with a certain measure of responsibility with regards to the members of the Democratic Party who wish to support John McCain in the Fall.

McCain is attracting the socialist Democrats because they know there's not much difference between him and the RAT party candidates. It is the birth of the Republicrat party.

McCain should have a branch of his campaign dedicated to Democrats for McCain. He should especially target states with large numbers of conservative Democrats like WV, KY, TN, and AK.

"The Dems here are beside themselves over his nomination."

Every dem I know here in VA are all bent out of shape over the nomination too. What I find interesting is that many of them are die-hard liberals, and even THEY dislike Obama. All of them were for Hillary. The congressional district I live in was the ONLY one to go for Hillary in the VA primary. The VAST majority of them are down right depressed and are undecided about whether to stay home or vote for McCain. I haven't met one that likes Obama yet. I live in a very rural area that is VERY conservative, and there is a very vocal dem minority around here when it comes to presidential elections. If you went by yard signs and bumper stickers one would have thought Gore and Kerry would have won by 60 points, and they both lost by 65-70 points.

Seems it's in the works.

I think it’s more of a case of Barak Obama being so radical that even many loyal Democrats have a hard time rallying around him.

check out this blog of RAT defectors on Hillary’s site (try to avoid the ones with violin music professing their love for Hillary...BARF ALERT)

http://blog.hillaryclinton.com/blog/main/2008/06/05/144631#view_comments

They have also started a 527 called Pumapac where all the defectors who are rallying around McCain are using as their new “RATquarters” to voice their disgust with the DNC..it is amusing reading...

Conservative Democrats in WV, Ky, TN, and Ak.

They gave us Rockefeller and Byrd (Pretty, pretty).
They gave us Gore.
They gave us the Clintons and the Clintonistas.
Ohio - Kucinich and his UFOs. Metzenbaum and his old CP ties. The murder capital of the state, Cleveland, and its nutty politicians.

If these people were truely conservatives in PRINCIPLE, they would have cleaned house a long time ago.

Oh give me a home where the Democrats roam, and I’ll show you a house full of crap.

Just curious as to why. Is it because he is Black? Because of his associations (Wright, Farrakhan, Ayers, Rezko, etc.)? Because he is a Marxist? Becuase they love Hillary?
How come the Ohio Dems are beside themselves over his nomination? Just curious.

Most of them will calm down before November 4 and vote for Osama-Obama. But, If 10% of them stay home or vote for McCain, color VA Red.

“McCain is attracting the socialist Democrats because they know there’s not much difference between him and the RAT party candidates.”

Wrong. There is a big difference between centrist McCain and leftist Obama.

Centrist Democrats are finding that McCain is closer to them on issues and that Obama’s complete and utter lack of qualification, experience, and poor judgement as witnessed by his 20-year membership in a racist church repels them.

“It is the birth of the Republicrat party.” LOL. It’s been alive and well for some time. First time they got their man in the White House!

McCain is attracting the socialist Democrats because they know there's not much difference between him and the RAT party candidates.

McCain is attracting the Reagan Democrats who realize that partisan politics is not a good reason to help elect a President Barack Hussein Obama that has promised to lose a war that 4,000 Americans, both Democrat and Republican, have died to win.

"I understand the polls show only 18 percent of the American people support my position. But I have to do what's right, what I believe is right and what my experience and knowledge and background tells me is the right thing to do in order to save this situation in Iraq ... In war, my dear friends, there's no such thing as compromise. You either win or you lose." - Sen. John McCain's reaction to the Iraq Study Group Report, 2006

Your mileage may vary on whether or not you give a rat's ass if America loses that war.

You have to realize that many in those states are deceived. They still believe a handshake and a promise is something real and that is why Democrats have so abandoned the Democrat party in states like WV, KY, TN, AK. More accurately the party abandoned them and yes they are more conservative. They vote for Byrd out of loyalty more than anything in WV. If the GOP runs a decent candidate the Democrat party after Byrd dies will lose that Senate seat. Rockefeller will retire before long also. Most of the South used to be a Democrat stronghold that was until being a Democrat meant gays, abortions, no guns, and high taxes. It wasn’t long ago that the Democrat party was more diverse in opinion than it is today.
