Principal has new job after 'Islam 101' scandal
Houston Chronicle ^ | June 4, 2008 | ERICKA MELLON

The Friendswood Junior High principal who outraged some parents by allowing an Islamic group to make a 40-minute presentation to students last month is now off the job.

In a two-sentence statement sent late Wednesday, the school district said Robin Lowe "has accepted another administrative position effective immediately."

Looks like the parents stood up to the school district and effected the removal of a principal who did wrong by hundreds of students. Kudos to the folks in this community for standing up for their beliefs and making things better for all students.

Hopefully that “new administrative position” involves a large pay cut, and employs a broom as a primary tool.

Asma Siddiqi, one of the presenters with the American-Islamic council, said she simply discussed facts about Islam, sticking to a PowerPoint slide show. The council provided a copy of the presentation to the Houston Chronicle. Titled "Islam: Respecting Diversity," it discusses the size of the Muslim population, the basic tenets of the religion and the dating customs.

I hate to say this, but if this was the extent of the presentation, then I see nothing wrong with it.

They might have just transferred her to another position in the same school district.

Otherwise, what district picked her up? Parents have a right to know.

When are the presentations by Buddhist, Catholics, Rastafarians, etc.?

Although it doesn’t sound like this is a public school, I’m not sure these presentations, by one selected religion, are appropriate.

CAIR is a terrorist-apoligist organization and shouldn’t be allowed in this country making any kind of presentation to children.

According to the article, the presentation was in response to the request by a parent who said his son was harassed because of his faith.

So, does that mean that other schools will have Christianity 101 when Christians are harassed?

Public education doesn’t work that way.

Its reassignment with no pay cuts.

You get parked in an office to do little or nothing until the heat dies down and you get a new assignment, maybe even a school.

The presentation is a whitewash. Muslims don't believe that Jesus is the son of God but the slide show states that "they believe in Jesus..."

This looks like Third Reich or Soviet propaganda washed through a third grade curriculum for third rate minds in a third rate high school...

It’s good to see that most parents from at least one district isn’t falling hook, line and sinker for this Islam 101 BS. Muslims have a right to practice however they want but America should draw the line when any religion condones violence because others don’t believe their way.

Exactly. If this were presented as a comparison of major world religions, that would be acceptable. It cannot be assumed that every kid out there knows the basic tenets of Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, or Buddhism. To present Islam in a positive way to kids, many of whom may be growing up with no exposure to a faith in the home because their parents are nonpracticing, agnostic or atheist, is a an attempt to gain converts to Islam under the ruse of presenting it as social studies or current events. The headline SHOULD read, “Principal has NO job...”

The problem I see with this particular case is that if the Christians, or the Jews, wanted to make a facts-about-faith presentation to 900 students at the school, it absolutely would not have been permitted. The ACLU would have sued, calling it a church service!

By comparison the problem is seen clearly for what it is and I believe the outrage was appropriate.

But there is a deeper problem that I see with Islam.
It is not only a religious system, it is a cultural system, a political system, a social system, an economic system, a class system, a governing system, and a legal system. All of these tenants are wrapped into one. At any time, Islam can appeal for equal time, or rights, based up their “religion”, all the while sneaking in their, culture, social values, and legal system.

The leftists constantly claim they do not think Christians should be in positions of public service, because they fear a Theocracy. However they completely miss the best worse case examples of pseudo-theocracies that the Muslim world provides for daily review and despite the plain truth, would say that the Muslim type of theocratic governance is “not so bad”. None are so blind as those who will not see.

And because we are so PC, we give them all the time they ask for, as in this story. The principal permitted it not he basis of it being a “cultural presentation”, when in fact it was proselytizing, plain and simple. And as we give them more and more, we will eventually give them all the rope they need to bind us.

That is where we are headed.

imho

(FWIW...Joel Rosenberg is excellent reading)

“I hate to say this, but if this was the extent of the presentation, then I see nothing wrong with it.”

In a balanced environment, I’d agree. The public schools are definately not balanced. I have two immediate issues with what was done:

First, learning about islam is not bad. One should know their enemy. Having someone from the American-islamic council do the presentation is bad. If you’re teaching younger minds about the KKK, do you bring the grand dragon of the local chapter in to do a presentation? No.

Second, if this was a presentation about Baptists in America and what they believe, how many news outlets do you think would scream about separation of church and state?

If the teacher or school had not thought anything was wrong; they would have notified the parents. It’s obvious they did think something was wrong or they wouldn’t have hidden it.

This seems to be a characteristic of what is going on today. Hide and lie.

Yes, we probably all wish this person that fate.

However, the "Education Professionals" who run our school systems have made it a practice of hiding the miscreants in plain sight, giving them cushy jobs at inflated salaries/benefits, and then cry to the electorate and threaten to cut busing when their inflated staff costs threaten to unbalance the budget.

In Painesville, Ohio there is a grade school principal who outperforms a Hoover, everyone knows about it, she is sleeping with a former employee, (he used to work in her school). There is another former principal who was removed from contact with students because of numerous DUIs. He is now safely ensconced in the Board office handling the Mexican student interface. Do you think his salary went down?

Every school administration that I have been familiar with hides their drunks and pederasts in Administration.

What Muslim Population Increase Brings

Don Morris writes at Doc’s Talk (thanks to Janet Levy):

...As long as the Muslim population remains around 1% of any given country they will be regarded as a peace-loving minority and not as a threat to anyone. In fact, they may be featured in articles and films, stereotyped for their colorful uniqueness:

United States — Muslim 1.0%
Australia — Muslim 1.5%
Canada — Muslim 1.9%
China — Muslim 1%-2%
Italy — Muslim 1.5%
Norway — Muslim 1.8%

At 2% and 3% they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs:

Denmark — Muslim 2%
Germany — Muslim 3.7%
United Kingdom — Muslim 2. 7%
Spain — Muslim 4%
Thailand — Muslim 4.6%

From 5% on they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population.

They will push for the introduction of halaal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature it on their shelves — along with threats for failure to comply. (United States).

France — Muslim 8%
Philippines — Muslim 5%
Sweden — Muslim 5%
Switzerland — Muslim 4.3%
The Netherlands — Muslim 5.5%
Trinidad & Tobago — Muslim 5.8%

At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves under Sharia, the Islamic Law. The ultimate goal of Islam is not to convert the world but to establish Sharia law over the entire world.

When Muslims reach 10% of the population, they will increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions (Paris — car-burnings). Any non-Muslim action that offends Islam will result in uprisings and threats (Amsterdam — Mohammed cartoons).

Guyana — Muslim 10%
India — Muslim 13.4%
Israel — Muslim 16%
Kenya — Muslim 10%
Russia — Muslim 10-15%

After reaching 20% expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings and church and synagogue burning:

Ethiopia — Muslim 32.8%

At 40% you will find widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks and ongoing militia warfare:

Bosnia — Muslim 40%
Chad — Muslim 53.1%
Lebanon — Muslim 59.7%

From 60% you may expect unfettered persecution of non-believers and other religions, sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon and Jizya, the tax placed on infidels:

Albania — Muslim 70%
Malaysia — Muslim 60.4%
Qatar — Muslim 77.5%
Sudan — Muslim 70%

After 80% expect State run ethnic cleansing and genocide:

Bangladesh — Muslim 83%
Egypt — Muslim 90%
Gaza — Muslim 98.7%
Indonesia — Muslim 86.1%
Iran — Muslim 98%
Iraq — Muslim 97%
Jordan — Muslim 92%
Morocco — Muslim 98.7%
Pakistan — Muslim 97%
Palestine — Muslim 99%
Syria — Muslim 90%
Tajikistan — Muslim 90%
Turkey — Muslim 99.8%
United Arab Emirates — Muslim 96%

100% will usher in the peace of “Dar-es-Salaam” — the Islamic House of Peace — there’s supposed to be peace because everybody is a Muslim:

Afghanistan — Muslim 100%
Saudi Arabia — Muslim 100%
Somalia — Muslim 100%
Yemen — Muslim 99.9%

Of course, that’s not the case. To satisfy their blood lust, Muslims then start killing each other for a variety of reasons.

“Before I was nine I had learned the basic canon of Arab life. It was me against my brother; me and my brother against our father; my family against my cousins and the clan; the clan against the tribe; and the tribe against the world. And all of us against the infidel. — Leon Uris, “The Haj”...

My church has a program with several of the local public schools in my area now called Kids Club where once a week after school they have Christian based Bible study and activities (music, singing, and play) for elementary school students, all voluntary. After one year at one school, we had three other schools asking how to get a Kids Club started. We cant get enough volunteers to support the demand by students and parents. Its amazing. And teachers tell us that once problem students who attend are now behaving better and doing better in school.

I wont even go into the number of kid and parent “conversions” that have taken place.

This from the heart of the leftist coast...go figure

Islam is the only major religion of the world of an antichrist figure.

Mohammad’s followers acknowledge the existence of Jesus (unlike other major religions) but deny His divinity, His death by crucifixion, and His resurection.

The flock is led astray by a deceiver and enslaving conquering warlord and his followers.

Why was there no mention of his multiple wives? Or the acceptance of slavery to this day under Islam?

The laws of Islam do not change to political correctness.

Only the 12th Imam can bring about any “reform” of Islam.

I suspect that some of those parental “conversions” are parents who were brought up as practicing Christians by their parents but who became non-Church attending (and possibly agnostic).

I know a married couple who take their kid to Sunday School and then “go to church” (actually the coffee shop). Their kid thinks they are being observant.

Additionally I hear of non-practicing (and even outright atheist) parents who send their kids to a religious school for the upbringing. The kids may slide in amorality as they grow up but they consider it gives them a good base.
