Ok but now it’s Mecca, right? So they ‘changed’ their holy city to Mecca ... so do they still bow to Jerusalem or just use it as an excuse ...
Excuse! The story is that Muhammad once journeyed to Jerusalem - therefore it is a holy place to Muslims. It doesn’t seem to matter to them that the so called “journey” took place in a dream and was merely a figment of Muhammad’s imagination.
I was told that if Muslims find themselves in a position in which Jerusalem was between them & Makkah, they should pray to Jerusalem, but I’ve never actually seen a Muslim do this, so I don’t know.
