Colorado Governor Signs Dangerous Legislation
CitizenLink ^ | 5-29-08 | staff

Posted on 05/30/2008 6:52:13 PM PDT by DaveyB

Dr. James Dobson, founder and chairman of Focus on the Family, issued this statement late today after Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter signed SB 200:

“Who would have believed that the Colorado state Legislature and its governor would have made it fully legal for men to enter and use women’s restrooms and locker-room facilities without notice or explanation?

“Henceforth, every woman and little girl will have to fear that a predator, bisexual, cross-dresser or even a homosexual or heterosexual male might walk in and relieve himself in their presence. The legislation lists every conceivable type of organization to which this law applies, including restaurants, bathhouses, massage parlors, mortuaries, theaters and ‘public facilities of any kind.’ Those who would attempt to protect females from this intrusion are subject to a fine of up to $5,000 and up to one year behind bars.

“This is your government in action. It represents a payback to Tim Gill and two other billionaires who have essentially ‘bought’ the state Legislature with enormous campaign contributions. Coloradans deserve better!

“And by the way, because of the way this bill is written, it is not subject to the initiative process. There is no recourse.”

Need hundreds of men in the state to start using women’s restrooms constantly, create an uproar. Don’t go gently into that good night.

Peeping Toms take note. Can watch a woman pull down her pants for the price of a dollar store dress and pantyhose.

When legistlatures are busy passing bills making it legal for men to go into women’s toilets, you know America is “on the wrong track.” This is pretty sick.

"Can watch a woman pull down her pants for the price of a dollar store dress and pantyhose."

I don't think the law reqires even that much effort. Any male can just say I feel like a girl today and walk into a womans locker room.

If America’s Christian spirituality has peaked, how long till it’s economic, militaristic, and culture follows?

Isn't this one of the reasons the ERA was defeated?

This is a classic example of the Dems’ battle cry, “Incremental Change!”

If you can't get the whole enchilada with a constitutional (or unconstitutional) amendment, just get it a bite at a time.

The law says, “gays, lesbians, bi-sexuals and transgenders”. There is no provision that female clothing must be worn that I could see.

Anyone can say they are gay, so I would say it is basically, anything goes. I hope from this time forward, all truck drivers, construction workers, as well as all men use the women’s facilities. A law in stupidity, will tend to remain in stupidity, unless acted upon by an equal or opposite stupidity.

Several years ago we were on I-25 and stopped for a break at a truck stop. The wife and kids went into the restroom. A few minutes a janitor quickly opened the door yelled “Anyone in here?” and barged in. My wife hollered and he backed out. He then turned and joked to another man that he often did that for fun. He and I had a good discussion right there wher EVERYONE could hear us. He quickly apologized.

I guess now it is legal to do it but don’t blame a mad husband or father if he breaks their head.

On November 3, 1992 I and 53.4% of the voters of Colorado voted to pass amendment 2. It read as follows
Neither the state of Colorado, through any of its branches or departments, nor any of its agencies, political subdivisions, municipalities or school districts, shall enact, adopt or enforce any statute, regulation, ordinance or policy whereby homosexual, lesbian or bisexual orientation, conduct, practices or relationships shall constitute or otherwise be the basis of, or entitle any person or class of persons to have or claim any minority status, quota preferences, protected status or claim of discrimination. This Section of the Constitution shall be in all respects self-executing.

We won in the initiative process, but an activist court over road the constitution of Colorado. Now this bit of unconstitutional immorality. When the constitutional processes cannot function the God and liberty loving patriots will find other means.

“What everyone wanted”??

(We have to be tolerant and understanding, after all—can’t hurt anyone’s feelings with he expectation of privacy, after all...)

The Islamification of American women. Soon they won’t be able to leave the house without a male relative to protect them.

Our governor just made Colorado safe for pedophiles and trannies. What the hell was he thinking when he signed that bill??

The law says, “gays, lesbians, bi-sexuals and transgenders”.

Not trying to play the part of a constitutional lawyer -- I don't even play one on the radio -- BUT isn't this a direct violation of the Equal Protection clause?

The law appears to give rights to "gays, lesbian, bi-sexuals and transgenders" that it does not provide to straights of either sex.

Cool!

Let Colorado be another western magnet for all the perverts, sexual predators and scumbags. Colorado should advertise its new law up and down the East Coast. Or, East Coast states should advertise Colorado’s new “anything goes, have yourself a peep on us!” policy. Whatever. Anything to get more of them out of Pennsylvania. “Go west, young perverts!”

Congratulations, Colorado voters.

Actually, when it comes to scumbag government, stupidity usually only breeds even more stupidity from government.

Wait a minute here...wasn't it just a few short years ago that the dems were saying that there were not restrooms for the ladies? Now, they want us women to have even less?

Though it may be legal for perverts to enter a women’s restroom, it is also legal for women to attack perverts who have entered their restroom.

Once again, let me propose that all woman have as a minimum a knife or sharp weapon when out in public—that it becomes a social requirement, so that women expect it, demand it, of other women. Women should feel as uncomfortable without their knife as if they were barefoot.
