Pelosi Credits Iran’s “Goodwill” for Surge Success

In an interview yesterday with the San Francisco Chronicle, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi claimed the U.S. troop surge failed to accomplish its goal. She then partially credited the success of the troop surge to “the goodwill of the Iranians,” claiming that they were responsible for ending violence in the southern city of Basra.

Asked if she saw any evidence of the surge’s positive impact on her May 17 trip to Iraq she responded:

Well, the purpose of the surge was to provide a secure space, a time for the political change to occur to accomplish the reconciliation. That didn’t happen. Whatever the military success, and progress that may have been made, the surge didn’t accomplish its goal. And some of the success of the surge is that the goodwill of the Iranians-they decided in Basra when the fighting would end, they negotiated that cessation of hostilities-the Iranians.

This is an inexcusable slander.

It’s the same denial of success with the leftist Pelosi. Just candy tossed to the moonbats while she pushes ahead the authorization bills for the military in Iraq and Afghanistan.

But of course that’s not enough. A despicable comment praising the mullahs who are doing everything they can to kill Americans in Iraq is beyond the pale.

I can't believe what we've come too. It's a shame the American Sheeple are not educated about the statements that Dolts like Pelosi make on a daily basis. Instead, the Drive By Media tells the Sheeple everything is Bush's or the GOP fault. If it rains, it's Bush's fault. If you have a fender bender, those damn Republicans made your car unsafe.

And we are about to hand over the Presidency to a left winger that is on equal footing with Pelosi. I am almost ready to give up and tell the Sheeple they get what they deserve in the next four years, except for the fact I don't want to see our military shread to pieces like it was thanks to Carter and the aftermath of Vietnam.
