ALL Americans who serve in WWII liberated the camps. They crushed Nazi Germany. They battled the Fascists in Italy. And they ended Japanese imperialism.
It was a team effort. Not the work of one man or one troop.

By that reasoning, a PFC draftee who spent his entire career at a training base in Mississippi helped raise the flag on Iwo Jima.
Or that the same dude earned just as many medals as Audie Murphy.
