This is so schools can keep their admissions more ‘objective’ and can do their own social engineering quotas and avoid any reverse discrimination charges. In the long run all it will do is admit poorer quality students who will be harmed more than helped by the policy because they will not be able to excel and may drop out instead of going to a school where they could succeed.

That's all you needed from this entire article. The fact of the matter is that they're not going to meet their quotas by using these sorts of tests as admissions requirments, as their classes are going to be filled with Whites and Asians.
And even after affirmative action takes places at the undergraduate level, it's again needed at the graduate level. Like it or not, medicine and law (to but name a few) drastically lower their admissions standards to those who offer "diversity."
