“This woman was not capable of doing her job. She should have been fired.”
Sweetie, I’m well AWARE of the testing and evaluation for a special needs child. Not ALL teachers are trained to deal with a special needs child. Nor should all special needs children be mainstreamed. Some are simply NOT capable of being in a regular classroom.
You are judging with a bias.
And I’m not interested in a pi$$ing contest. You have your opinion and I have mine.
At 5 years old, I imagine the student has been disrupting schools for...
I don't know...I'd guess...
maybe...
DAYS!
She was teaching a Civics class to the kindergarteners. She was showing how modern Democracy (mob rules) works. And when they get older, if they vote for the right party, they can get anything and everything they want.
By the way, the 2 students who voted for the child to stay, failed the assignment. Its in their permanent school records. And they have been flagged to be potential future disrupters/ terrorists/conservatives.
If you've ever been around a child as this one is described, hours are like days, let alone five days a week every week.
Kids that are disruptive every day should not be in regular classes, interrupting the education and well being of every other kid.
I assume there was a notation that they listened to "talk radio"...
Well, sweetie, you miss the point. This IS KINDERGARTEN. A kindergarten teacher must be prepared to deal with all kinds of kids because kids are not classified before the kindergarten teacher recommends it, or the parents request it, unless the child has a demonstrable disability like Downs Syndrome.
Any kindgergarten teacher, who is incapable of dealing with first time students with all sorts of differences, should give it up. All teachers should also receive training in learning disabilities, so that they can more quickly identify the problems and make proper recommendations.
Again, the quality of public school education is inversely proportionate to the growth of the NEA.
I agree. Too bad the teacher didn't follow the legal requirements necessary to make that happen.
