Anything that ancient has been through lots of quakes. If it was no good, it would not still be around
There’s an old saying among conservatives everywhere, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
I’d certainly take this irrigation system over some of the more modern dams or the New Orleans levee system.
