Might be a problem for us - we can’t afford to eat out.
I have done it twice and have no intention of quitting. The first time was when a Huey crew landed at the airport adjacent to Harris Ranch in California. I bought the whole table and left before they knew what happened. The next time was when a young Marine with his wife and three little kids walked into the place I was dining. Again, I took care of his tab and left before he knew it. It is a wonderful feeling to do something for these guys.
I was honored to pay for the breakfast for a Korean war veteran (Ranger). I also paid for a WW2 veteran (Navy). The KW veteran had tears in his eyes. I picked up the tab for a lady officer (Air Force). It wont be the last time.
I pick up the tab for servicemen, firemen and policemen whenever I can, especially when my kids are with me.
Screw picking up the tab...I’m waiting for somebody to say thank you by paying off the mortgage...:)
