(Psst..Boulder is around 5400 feet above sea level.)
Seriously though, releasing the animal nearby is simply idiotic.
But we are talking about a city that fenced off the medians and tried to mow them with goat herds 2 years ago...
NOTE TO ALL:
Post #11 has the correct solution.
“Dumbalina”, A.K.A Jennifer the Department of Wildlife House Liar, was her usual deliberately deceptive self. Dumbalina forgets that the public has what she seems not to posses - a working brain.
Please not Dumbalina breathlessly announces that the cat has been removed for the second time. That cat had a radio collar around its neck.
Had the Colorado Dept. of Wildlife desired, that cat could have been intercepted as it returned to inhabited areas. It WAS wearing a radio collar and could have been tracked all the way back IF DOW had wanted to so do.
They didn’t want their coddled cougar’s behavior detailed, so they probably warmed seats in the donut shop instead of doing the tracking they should have done. Oops! My error! We are talking about Boulder, after all.
The DOW AgencyPersons were more likely in full lotus positions on the tatami mats in some tea house, not in a mere donut shop eating something with sugar on it.
What Dumbalina and her co-conspirators didn’t do is remove known threats to public health and safety.
Behavior like Dumbalina’s is why America despises its AgencyPersons.
“Please not” should be “Please note”. My error.
