Hitler sought to unite all of the European Germans. He first annexed Schleswig-Holstein in Denmark. Then he annexed Austria in the Anschluss. Next he annexed the Sudetenland in a foreign policy victory for Neville Chamberlain. Hitler’s continuing desire to unite the Germans led to WWII when he invaded Poland to seize Danzig.
