McCain's bought airtime in Oregon for this ad, starting today.

Well if that don’t shore up his right flank I just don’t know what will. I believe his VP pick will be Algore.

McCain is telling us we need to face the
"fact" of global warming.
I've said I'll hold my nose for this guy, but he may force me to consider going third party yet.
Shut up, John. Please.

At the top of the hour radio newsbreak I heard a clip of McCain. He was saying that it doesn't matter if we call it climate change or global warming, it is a real problem that we need to act on.
So, I took action. I left my office, went down to the breakroom vending machines. I bought a Diet Coke and a pack of Big Red chewing gum. Neither worked- I can still taste that little bit of vomit that made it up into the back of my mouth.
I just keep telling myself: "Supreme Court justices. McCain is the only hope for Supreme Court justices." However, I realize that I am going to bring in a bottle of Scope mouthwash to deal with what the presumptive nominee will have in store over the next six months...

Pay more in taxes so the government can pretend to control the weather. My bet is the weather with it's friend Mr Sun, will win.
Cap and Trade, carbon offsets, it's all about rationing energy to restrict freedom and collecting more in taxes without scaring anyone. How is this different from Clinton's BTU tax?

Ain't that the truth? Bob Dole was positively Mr. Charisma and exciting compared to who we have now.
If global warming was a real crisis, they'd be proposing a real solution. Like this:
If Greenland melted down completely, 88% of the excess water produced could be contained by flooding the uninhabited Qatarra Depression in northwest Egypt, producing thousands of miles of valuable lakefront property, generating electrical power as water flowed from the Medditerranean to the depression and potentially turning much of the surrounding Sahara Desert into arable land.
It took Greenland 18,000 years to accumulate as much ice as it has now. How long do you think it will take it to melt?

No it isn't, but a salt water body does evaporate which creates condensation which creates rain which is generally fresh water.
This is why areas near large bodies of water generally get more rain and deserts along coastlines of the same are rare. though not unheard of.

Brick by brick, this man is tearing down the foundation of the Republican Party.
To: Alter Kaker
McCain’s campaign is based on running to the middle to appeal to independents, moderate Dems and leftist Republicans. The problem is that strategy writes off all conservatives and traditional Republicans like most on FR.
Maybe it will bring him victory, tho I doubt it. With the Dem and Republican candidates so close on issues, the main difference will be the perceived personality and character of the candidate.
So who would you rather have a beer with? McCain or Obama.

McCain has not cared much about the conservative base (far from it, he loathes it). I don’t really think he is calculating on getting many votes from the traditional base and is, instead, going to try to establish a new base (with liberal Republicans and the mushy middle) for himself which may include courting some of the social conservative base while telling the rest of it to get stuffed. We’ll see if it works. No matter who wins, get ready for bigger government (global warming) and amnesty.

McCain is no BOB DOLE!!!!!
How can a country with 320 million+ citizens come up with three candidates that is each flawed in so many ways?
I know that voting for a third party candidate would be a bad idea if we want to keep the DemocRATS out of the White House but I am starting to think after this election cycle it might be time to ditch the Republican Party and form a true conservative party.
