I had multiple miscarriages. The ones where I had an ultrasound showed an empty sac, nothing in it.

I don’t think miscarriages result in human life in most cases. I think something just is not developing correctly.

I never felt like I lost a child. I was very sad because I thought I was going to have a child, and I just worried that I would never have a child.

I have 3 kids now, and I don’t think of any of the miscarriages as their siblings.

I know lots of women in college had abortions, and I went to Texas A&M in the early 80s. I imagine even more women at liberal colleges have abortions.

I really think we need to work on preventing unwanted pregnancies. I don’t like the idea of abortions or unwanted babies.

A number of years ago, I dated a woman who told me she had an abortion the year before we met.

What I didn't understand at the time was she was telling me that she was a selfish, me-first woman who I could never and should never trust.

Sadly, it took me a few more years to learn that lesson. We were engaged and after a very bad accident, she started sleeping with a guy she met at the gym - while I was learning to walk again.

Some choices reveal our character. When a person refers to a child as a choice - you get a glimpse of the person's character.

>>I really think we need to work on preventing unwanted pregnancies<<

Somewhat. I think we need to have girls respect themselves by telling them that there is power in their sexuality. They are not boys and have something the boys want. Let them know that keeping their legs shut, keeps them in control. (If I could do that until 34, they can too)

And if a pregancy is CAUSED, stop the term “occurs” because it doesn’t “occur” without a girl having sex, then adoption should be the only thought.

I’m tired of the “Hooking up is great” mentality of it. The guy is using a girl to masterbate, nothing more and the girls are going along. WooHoo.

I have often wondered about the emotions of surviving children of mothers who “share” their abortion experiences with them.

I can’t imagine a more horrific feeling than knowing my mother had gotten rid of my siblings.

I have a cousin, one of a pair of twins, who at a family gathering, baby shower no less, up and announces to those of us in the living room that when she was pregnant eighteen years earlier, she found out she was carrying twins her own self. She told us because she and her husband did not make a good living, they wouldn't be able to afford two children, she decided to abort one of the babies, she gave birth to a son at full term.

I wasn't (and still am not) quite sure which horrified me more ... the extremely casual way she dropped the info on us, the same way this woman in the article puts it, as though it was just some common, no-big-deal thing to do -- or my concern that she might someday inform her son that she chose to let him live, killed his twin brother. We've all heard the stories of twins who have been separated at birth, live completely separate lives at extreme distances, know in their hearts that they shared the womb with someone else and have it confirmed by meeting each other.

It's hard enough for me not to be crushed at the knowledge that my cousin could be so cruel, and why she had to tell us, I'll never know. But if she could do that to a bunch of girl cousins at a party, I can't see why she wouldn't think it perfectly okay to inform her son somewhere along the line. Heartbreaking.

I’m so sorry that happened to you but I’m glad you found out before you married her!

The photo caption should read, "Lucy Cavendish with three of her four children lucky enough to not get aborted."

Some choices reveal our character.

Some people learn from their wrong choices and develop better character. When a woman writes an article whining because the whole world doesn't accept multiple abortions as the obvious thing to do, one can assume she hasn't learned anything, yet.

The ol’gal who wrote that one thinks it strange that some of us want to think of her as a murderer. Of course, I think its strange she wishes to change my mind at this late date.

They chose Mother's Day to publish this.

It figures, it just figures.

Much better to just cut off one of their hands (if you get my drift).

It appears she’s not married to the fathers of any of her children, living or dead. How British.

“I do agree with one part though. There are a lot of women that are grieving and hurting silently. They need support. Not the “its ok. Everyone does it support , but that God forgives and heals support”.”

Well said!

One of the interesting things about the Peculiar Institution, v. 2.0, is how every other thing, including feelings and language, must be perverted to let it go on.

Peculiar Institution, v. 2.0

Interesting name, quite appropriate.

Why should rape be a seperate crime and not just simple assault? If the victim gets pregnant just get an abortion. What’s the big deal? /sarcasm.

Not every woman in her generation has had an abortion. Just because those in your circle of aquaintance may have does mean it is true for all.

(for men only to decide)
First of all, it's HAPPY BROTHERS DAY when I see something like this! MEN MUST BAND TOGETHER on this!

“Abortion is also something that seemingly has nothing to do with men. Once the woman is pregnant, it is her decision alone as to what to do with that pregnancy. “...

... WRONG, Estrogen-breath!!

Let's restate what miss estrogen-breath said in a MORE POLITICALY CORRECT statement:
A more ‘big tent’ statement:
A more ‘balanced’ statement:

“Abortion is also something that seemingly has EVERYTHING to do with men. Once the woman is pregnant, it is NOT her decision alone as to what to do with that MALE pregnancy. “...

YOU MUST NOT kill MALES.
If you don't want to celebrate Mothers day with this child, I will personally find someone who will.

Each individual (and exclusively) MALE CHILD IS MINE!

HE is a future MAN.

HE is a future WORKER.

HE is a future TAXPAYER.

In fact: you may abort ALL THE FEMALE BABIES you (don't) like! THERE'S FREEDOM FOR YA !

But those males TRULY are FOR MEN TO DECIDE.

The abortion of any male child should be outlawed
immediately. YOUR BODY? NO! MY BODY! You (obviously) know NOTHING ABOUT BEING A MALE ! !!!

A MALE child is part of MY BODY!!

My little BROTHERS !

STAY BACK! If you are reading this and have participated in an abortion from a male or female perspective, I do not judge you. Hurting? Seek help. I merely address all future abortions from the time you read this... STAY AWAY FROM MY LITTLE BOYS.

If I lived without thinking there is right and wrong, a God who can send me to hell at various degrees, life is precious, nothing matters but me, etc. I would probably do just what she did.
