WHITE House hopeful Hillary Clinton has claimed victory in the Democratic presidential primary in Indiana, saying it is "full speed on to the White House".
With 85 per cent of the precincts reporting, US networks said Senator Clinton was leading rival Barack Obama by 52 per cent to 48 per cent, but had not yet called the race in the midwestern state.
Senator Clinton said Senator Obama had recently predicted that Indiana would be the tiebreaker in their battle for the Democratic Party's nomination.
"Well, tonight we've come from behind. We've broken the tie, and thanks to you, it's full speed on to the White House,'' she told cheering supporters.

Obama will have a tough time with the electoral map....blue collar dems in Ohio, PA, New Hampshire, and Michigan will not vote for him. Latinos are wary of him too. The only swing state he may take is Colorado.
The Indys that would have voted for him will no longer do so thanks to Rush and the reverend wright.
I would rather see Obama and a possible win than the witch and a sure loss.
Triple the order!
“Obama and his vile wife would utterly destroy this nation. Most Americans simply don’t understand the mortal threat he represents.”
You are SO SO SO dead on. All jokes aside about the political tennis match and jockeying bantered about here, this is an extremely serious situation that does threaten our future.
Montag, sounds like you’re educated about the big picture, and you know what I’m talking about.
Hillary will still declare victory in November after either Obama or McCain wins election.
I want the SCOTUS called upon to make a significant decision affecting the dim primary.
Fingers crossed....
“You are correct. Obama and his vile wife will destroy this nation. It scares me that people of this nation are so damn stupid.”
Thanks for speaking the truth and you’re a great American as well. Yes, it drives me ‘round the bend and back, that most people in the U.S. don’t have a clue, and even worse, that they don’t seem to WANT to learn or get educated on something that determines their very survival. There are so many valuable, documented sources out there by highly credentialled, well-respected people.
I'm friends with an Australian couple, and they don't seem to be picky about their beer. These are my kind of people!
I don’t mind Millers. Bud is a bit suss though...
B Hussein Obama is dangerous enough all by his radical separatist self, but throw in the fact that he will have a good head start on the majority in Congress, and he becomes someone who can actually destroy this country.
I do not see it happening for him in November. People are just starting to learn a thing or two about him, and McCain is going to draw many democrat votes. I know a few McCain Democrats myself, and it is still very early. Operation Chaos, regardless of the real effect it had until this point, was at least perceived to be working to Shrillary’s benefit. That perception turned in Hussein Obama’s favor tonight, combined of course with those who just wanted to see an end to the dim primary.
You don’t think Obama could be destroyed in the general election?
Go figure that Lake would be the decider, and of course there's Never been any voter fraud there....
Someone tonight, I think on FNC, pointed out that if Obama is the nominee, his acceptance speech will be on the 45th anniversary of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I have a dream" speech at the March on Washington. Imagine what the media will do with that.
Obama can win if he can persuade tens of millions of "crackers" whom he holds in contempt to vote for him anyway. After 40 years of being indoctrinated with "white guilt," from grade school on, they may do so.
He would have to be extremely disciplined not to make it a racial election.
Once he plays the race card on McNasty, AND HE WILL..., he's going to go down like McGovern.
Just think, Cankles gets to run again in '12, saying I Told You So!
“You dont think Obama could be destroyed in the general election?”
I’ve been thinking so, yes - much more so than HRC. But this situation tonight almost has a supernatural quality to it. With the seriously (should have been) damaging events of the last 2 weeks, it’s absolutely amazing (and scary) to me that BHO should have shone this way in these two primaries.
Just watch as hillary gets a huge injection of cash from “new donors” tommorrow...
It’s a money laundering scheme..
I must admit that I am surprised that the Wright story didn’t take him out in March when it first gained steam. That would have taken out any “normal” candidate. Even for a Democrat, I cannot believe the free passes he is getting.
Well I’ll be darned... she pulled it out...
Aussie, if I were you I'd shoot for something more robust. Those alleged beers are all like making love in a canoe... f*ing close to water.
“I do not see it happening for him in November. People are just starting to learn a thing or two about him, and McCain is going to draw many democrat votes.”
You know, K, I hope and pray you’re right. Logically, I’d thought this, and said so, for several weeks now. Guess this latest event has me shaken. See, people SHOULD have been learning a thing or two about him as SO many of these red flags are appearing and dark connections come to light. But when will we see evidence that they care about ANY of it, regardless how alarming and indisputable? This looks more and more like cult mentality - and how do you fight that?? Hmmmm....much like radical jihadists - no words or deeds can possibly change them, so focused and determined are they. (Freudian slip that I made this analogy)
LOL! Yeah - not quite what I’m used to!
